Remember the days when the technology in your home was YOURS and could be managed locally? Cogeco doesn’t give a damn and forces you to rely on a cloud service to manage your HOME network. Want to place your modem in bridge mode?- NOPE! You MUST call Cogeco to do it for you! Want to monitor the devices on your network through the web interface?- NOPE, download our buggy and broken and locked down React app to do so!What’s the point of even having a web interface when 90% of the features have been removed from it? The moment that Cogeco brings back a functional web interface is the day this app gets something other than a 1 star rating- but as per usual with greedy conglomerates, things will never get better. Truly abysmal- do better.

I can’t disable my wifi connections to use my own hardware. I cannot place it in bridge mode, I can’t edit security features, I basically can’t do anything other than change the SSID name and the password. Worse yet, my modems admin portal has all the options I need but cogeco has locked all of them out saying you can change them in the cogeco app. But you can’t! Horrible application, horrible business practices from cogeco, just plain despicable. I’ve recommended cogeco for over a decade to people I know. That won’t be happening anymore because apparently you’re not allowed to manage your own home network anymore. Even though you pay for it.
