We use communauto quite a lot. Most of the time it’s great, when everything goes smoothly. If things go sideways it’s not the greatest though. We’ve been on both sides of delayed car returns. Sometimes things happen and your stuck in traffic, and there’s just no way you can make it back in time. With the app there’s no way to inform anyone that you will be late and how late you might be. It would be so good if you could at least send/receive an update on when a car is going to be returned if there is a delay so you can figure out whether to cancel and make other arrangements. Also being able to transfer a booking to the next nearest or a chosen station would also be super useful.

It seems odd that something as simple as push notifications aren’t enabled. The app preferences say “device permission” but there’s no slider to enable it, and Communauto doesn’t show in my list of apps under Notifications settings. Getting push notifications about service disruptions or vehicle blocks expiring, or even successful trip ending would be very helpful.
