It IS too good to be true

Great interface, but alas it was too good to be true. Moments after transferring my entire investing budget I was informed I was on a “waitlist” indefinitely to actually allow trading because they are unable to cope with trades their customers wish to make. So now my funds are stuck in limbo between banks while the market bounces around. Wealth simple was part way there, but not far enough. I won’t be trusting my money with them again. I wish them well but they burned a bridge with me.

HiI am using this app for one month now and i motivated a bunch of people to use this. It was worst decision of my life investing money with wealthsimple trade. I bought a stock called UCO and when the time came to sell it (when it jumped a lot) wealthsimple blocked it and my money is stuck with it. You can still buy it at this high price but not sell it. This is a scam. The same stock is active on all the other platforms but not on wealthsimple. The same happened to my friends as well who are using this crappy app. I tried to reach out to the customer service but after waiting 1 hour on phone no one picked the call.

Lack of transparency about the waitlist due to system overload is very disappointing. Still waiting on the wait list for my account and my wife’s account, missing out on an amazing investing opportunity
