The AmpliFi app simplifies the process of connecting and managing all of your Amplifi Wi-Fi devices, including: Alien, HD, Gamer’s Edition, Instant, and Meshpoint products.
The AmpliFi app offers the simplest way to add, monitor, configure, and upgrade your network. You’ll be able to:
- View key diagnostic information, like a connected devices summary, upload/download activity, your IP address, and real-time network speed data.
- Create an in-home guest network for visiting family and friends, or give them remote access to your local network via the AmpliFi Teleport VPN app.
- Control your family’s screen time with the ability to pause connected devices.

The Amplifi app is a great app to manage your wireless settings. I particularly like the fact you can quickly see which devices are utilising the most bandwidth and how easy it is to create your own additional SSID’s either on the router or on the access points. What would be good to have is to customise which access points you can set as the main network (I.e. Set the main router and one access point as the main network and then set the router and the second access point as a separate one, as currently whatever access point you plug into the wall gets recognised by the primary router).

Been using AmplifiHD for a number of years and this app is great for monitoring my wifi mesh performance, as well as setting up and maintaining the network. The speed test is very useful (I picked up early a degradation in my broadband performance so could get my ISP to invstigate and restore) and the support from Ubiquiti is good and timely. This iPhone app also works well on my MBP M1 pro. Would recommend.

This is a very good app I use it most days to manage my network, I have four Amplifi HD routers and two mesh points. It gives me all the information I need, the app could be great if the performance test worked correctly, I have 1gig broadband but the test maxes out at 160mbps also it works on the iPad but only as an iPhone app.

Very simple app, easy to use interface but it needs more advanced options. Also it has a ton of connection issues to my router, as it’ll sometimes take forever to make minor changes and it will lose connection with the alien with no rhyme or reason. For such an expensive product, this app definitely needs more love !
