Finding my family of the past and present
I have managed to find many lines of family since I joined Ancestry. Yes you have to learn your way about, but I just took one step at a time. Asking questions with some of the groups on Facebook. One of the most useful tools on Ancestry is looking at other members trees that include someone from my tree. By contacting these members with the message part of the site, there is much information to be had. Even finding family photographs that I had never seen. I have contacted a few 2nd cousins who I now talk to on the phone gaining some amazing family stories and character references. I have been paying £20 per month, which for me is quite a bit, but I got so much good information that I would not have gained from just buying certificates (which are just as important). I am able to cancel the subscription and start it up at a later date which helps with my budget. Great job Ancestry 5 Stars 👌
Warning
I believe through alleged first hand experience that some alleged Hertfordshire Constabulary police officers are allegedly appearing to allegedly hack my alleged ancestry account and allegedly alter the privacy settings of one’s alleged tree. Therefore allegedly and potentially altering one’s human right and need for privacy.
However I am also a victim of alleged domestic abuse & an adult child of a dependent alcoholic. I am a former public servant of St Albans City & District Council. They have also allegedly appeared to have allegedly gained alleged remote access to my alleged iPad and alleged iPhone. In the interests of users I think that in the near future, it would useful to have an IP log available to users of anything that is altered, edited and deleted on the account. I believe through first hand experience that there are alleged police officers out there that will allegedly appear to delete alleged photographs allegedly without an alleged warrant. Regardless and despite of the Domestic Abuse Act 2021, I allegedly appear to have had over 18 items of alleged criminal damage to my property by alleged police officers or those allegedly appearing to work upon their alleged instruction and only their alleged instruction. I have had alleged criminal damage to almost 300 year old documents. If you read the news there are many stories of alleged police misconduct.
Family tree
I have spent many hours days researching my family history, on Ancestry. I also took a DNA test and the results I find fascinating and have connected with many relations on both sides of my family.
At the moment I am having difficulty in following research on my paternal great grandfather David Griffiths . I thought that he was divorced but then somebody else had him as deceased but this was prior to the birth of my great grandmother. I must try again to find the missing parts of my research.
I have been amazed with how my research has given me information which I did not know . My grandparents lived in wern Ganol cottages and in the 1st cottage lived her uncle and his family and I was unaware that they were related , although I'spent many hours at my grandparents house. Also I did not know until I sent for my grandfather's birth certificate that my great grandmother was Irish.
I am now putting photos on my tree so that family members can now have their own identity.
