PUBLIC TRANSPORT*
Easiest way to get around town. Apple Pay makes it simple to catch buses and trains in your favourite city. Breeze through the turnstiles just by holding your iPhone or Apple Watch up to the reader.
CAR KEY*
An iPhone and Apple Watch feature that lets you unlock and start your car with a digital car key stored in the Wallet app.
STUDENT ID*
Add your student ID card to Wallet, and use it to access places like your halls, the library and campus events. Or pay for washing, snacks and dinners around campus at participating universities.
HOME KEY*
Add home keys to Wallet on iPhone and Apple Watch, then simply tap to unlock a compatible door lock for seamless access to your home or flat.
HOTEL KEY*
Add your hotel key in Wallet after making your reservation, use it to check in so you can skip the lobby, and use your iPhone and Apple Watch to tap to unlock and access your room.
OFFICE KEY*
Add your employee badge/ID to Wallet and then use your iPhone and Apple Watch to unlock doors and other access locations where your corporate badge is accepted.
REWARDS & LOYALTY CARDS*
Add your favourite coffee shop or chemist’s rewards cards to Wallet, so you never miss out on all the rewards and benefits.
BOARDING PASSES & EVENT TICKETS*
Simply add your boarding pass or tickets to Wallet to board flights or enter the stadium with just your iPhone or Apple Watch.

Ratings and Reviews
Not always reliable
This app is excellent when working, however I have experienced several times when it didn’t complete the transaction for no reason . It wouldn’t complete the payment even though I had already used the app in the same shop about an hour previously. It has worked ok the next day at a different store but the transaction list didn’t complete even though payment was made. I use a main bank card, just can’t understand why it lets me down on these odd occasions .
Can’t assign “nicknames” to cards
As a new Wallet / Apple Pay user, I find it amazing that this simple feature still hasn’t been implemented.
If you have more than one card from the same bank, the only way to distinguish them is by the last 4 digits of the card number which is only shown in small text for the currently-selected card. You have to select each card in turn until the right one comes up - if you happen to have memorised the last 4 digits of all your card numbers!
The ability to add user-friendly names to cards is such an obvious thing I was flabbergasted to find the feature wasn’t present!
Worked fine til upgrade!
I have been using Apple Wallet since it became available on iPhone. I have always been able to add store cards as well as my credit and debit cards. However, having just upgraded to an iPhone 14 pro max, these options are now limited just to payment cards and travel cards. I can no longer add store cards or anything else! Absolutely ridiculous! I now have to carry a physical wallet with me in order to have the store cards…which negates having the Apple wallet! Please sort this out it’s incredibly frustrating and annoying!! Thanks
