Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
When it works it's a great app - even giving you an estimated fare, the ability to pay through your phone and the drivers route and location - but when you're waiting 20+ minutes to assign a driver when the estimated assigning time is 2 minutes and then when you finally decide call up you're assigned one straight away ... it makes you wonder if there's any point in the app at all.
"Priority booking" becomes an endless wait on a flawed system that chooses when it wants to work

service is a joke. I finished work at 12 o clock tonight and it being that late i decided to order a taxi so i don’t have to walk home in the dark and rain. the taxi driver takes ages to come and when it does show up it turns around and drives right past me. The driver has his window down so i shout after him that i’m here and to pick me up and he looks at me and drives away. a few minutes later i get a notification saying “sorry you missed your taxi, you may have to pay a cancellation fee” so aswell as paying money for a taxi, that didn’t even pick me up, i was charged a £4 cancellation fee. so i call up their number to be greeted by a really rude woman, who doesn’t let me explain and accuses me off not showing up to meet the taxi driver. I explain to her i was waiting the whole time in the rain and that the driver drove off but she says that’s not what he has put. She offers me to rebook a new taxi, that i would have had to pay for, aswell as the previous one that drove off and the cancellation fee so in the end i have to walk home in the pitch black night and getting soaked by rain and down money for a taxi that never even picked me up. not the first problem i’ve had and i know others who have had similar problems. ridiculous 😡 only 1 star because i had to. otherwise it would be minus

So far, 3 out of 4 drivers have been really good, but I had an issue with one driver. The rating function in the app doesn't work, so I couldn't rate either the good or the bad driver. Additionally, there's no comment section within the rating feature, which means there's no way to provide feedback on the drivers' performance. Another problem is with the payment system. Apple Pay doesn't work, and when I added my credit card and tried to prebook, it attempted to charge £20 instead of the predicted cost of £13. This discrepancy made me distrust the credit card payment process. There's also no FAQ section, so I'm unsure if they initially overcharge and then issue a refund. The app should include more detailed information. While Argyle offers better prices than Uber, which is why I chose it, I will think twice before using it again.
