Huge backward step

I used to be a great fan and advocate for this app. No more. The most useful features e.g. live departures, live map of train positions seem to have been eliminated (at least I can’t find them) and the home screen even when programmed for regular stations is not to where I want to open the app. Nor can I see how to clear recent searches etc . UI design triumphs over functionality !

Useful feedback received from developer - the features are there but not obvious and need multiple clicks to achieve what was previously much more intuitive. A better help system would be worthwhile. My general comment stands.

Hi, thanks for your time reviewing the latest version of our app. Live departures and the live map of train positions are still available through the Station Map screen, where you can see the departures from any station (use the drop down at the top to change station). From here, you can also see train progress by just tapping on the train departure you require.

Nice refresh but loses old features

I’ve been using the new version for my weekday commutes, but there’s been a few times I’ve missed having the live departures feature from the old app, which is the screen I always left the old app on. Pre-setting regular journeys is fine but what about non-regular journeys? Sometimes plans change or a friend asks when their next train is and that’s what the live departures screen was perfect for. I never found selecting a station from a list an issue (especially when it showed nearest and recents at the top of the list?)
Also the old xylophone notification tone now appears to be the default text tone? So there’s no differentiation between a message and a warning that there’s a problem with my commute. I can see how that can cause issues.

Live departures and the live map of train positions are still available through the Station Map screen, where you can see the departures from any station. You can also use the Journey Planner page to find times and guidance on any journey.

New version

The new version is dreadful!
The missing feature which was used by everyone where you could choose a station and find out what trains are arriving/departing with even a live feed of where they are on the line has been replaced with this stupid my journeys where I chooses a station, which isn’t even on my line!
Also, the my my journeys but doesn’t allow you to choose earlier or later trains by clicking on more.
They have just ruined a really useful app
