Great service

I opened a couple of accounts with the app (6 and 12 month) and both were super fast and easy to set up. You then receive your certificates and other documents in the vault which you can send yourself as a PDF. Received the money instantly after transferring from my bank and got a text message which was really reassuring as well. Before I downloaded the app I read the comments complaining about the face ID not working etc and was hesitant at first but when you download and register you will see that there are always 3 ways of logging in so even if the face ID is not recognising you (I never have problems with it), you can still sign in using a passnumber. So not sure what the moaning is all about. The design of the app is fun and I quite like it, what’s most important to me is that their interest rates are really great in comparison with mainstream banks.

Great Bank - Slightly annoying log in

Atom is great and the app is really easy to use and superbly clear. Link your Atom account to your chosen current account and you can then quickly and simply transfer funds between them.
The only minor issue is that the app seems to insist on using its own Face ID rather than Apples far superior offer. Atoms Face ID is incredibly fussy, doesn’t work in low light and is unable to recognise glasses for example. Unlike Apples own offer which is far far superior. I’m not sure why this app has to stand alone, as all my other banking apps use the iPhones face recognition very successfully. Atom for some reason doesn’t and this makes it slightly annoying and unresponsive at log in.
Otherwise it is beautifully laid out, crisp and clear and generally very well designed indeed. I especially like the way that documents etc are held in a ‘vault’, all very clear and simple.
There are plenty of banks who would do well to learn from this apps lovely clean layout.

Good app, but

Good app, easy to use, like the option to have some of my savings in fixed term accounts, customer service help is good too. Just one little niggle. When opening a new fixed term account in the app, you cannot transfer funds from instant access account but are required to transfer out to linked current account then transfer back again into new atom account. All these transactions set off anti fraud warnings on my current account resulting in account being frozen. Please can you add the option to fund new accounts from existing savings and save this happening again, it must happen to many people. Any chance you could add some kind of marking to show which documents in the vault have been read, and link directly from notification. I’m still searching for a statement from months ago and can’t clear the notifications.
