Flaky service?
Good app but the share extension doesn’t seem to work today, I’m getting a server error message. Opening the app to shorten the link works fine except the new link doesn’t show up in my account, even tho it got copied to my clipboard just fine. Maybe it’s shortening the link outside my account. Anyway, it’s generally a flaky experience. But I’ve used this service for many years and hope it gets better.
Downloading the app now
I’m using the web version at the moment and it works on MacOS in Safari but when I try to access my links in the iPadOS version of Safari the Bitly website is full of errors. I’d love to speak with customer support but they reserve that for the paid plans. I was planning to upgrade soon as my business grows but if their website doesn’t work properly this may not be convenient to my workflow.
I’ll try this app and see if using it instead gives me access to what I need. Very annoying that there is no way to communicate with customer support and their ‘Help Center’ has nothing about what to do if their website is showing “ Oops, something went wrong. Please try again.” errors.
Has a lot of potential to be better.
This app is far more stable than it used to be, but the functionality is still poor.
It could be far better, just needs work.
