Unnecessary and unhelpful

When we found out this app was needed to find out what is on how to book I was a little frustrated. We had come on holiday to ditch our phones. To be told that we had to use a phone in order to find anything seemed to defeat that. On top of all that the app does not make clear which was free to a all-inclusive member. We spent time looking through the various activities, but never knowing if we could book them without a fee. It seems like an unnecessary and unhelpful step TUI is using in order to publicise what is on. When we spoke to or rep, she seemed to not have a clue whether it was free or not either - Hardly the seal of approval. I would say don’t bother to download the app, but it is impossible to do anything without it. Instead, they need to update the app and make it actually useful and tailored for his customers. I hope someone from TUI is looking at the reviews and actually does something about it.

App failure

Hotel/TUI direct you to use this app as presumably it saves them time and money - and yes there is some useful info on there, albeit sometimes difficult to find. There seems to be the ability to save pages but nowhere to view ur saved pages at a later point (that I could find anyway).

Biggest problem was we arranged via the app a late check out. And got a confirmation message back. We then got unceremoniously booted out of our room as apparently despite the confirmation we were still supposed to confirm with reception and they’d send us a message via the app to that effect - which we never received.

Lesson here is don’t rely on the app - as it doesn’t work for the purpose it’s designed for.

User journey unnecessarily complex with no great outcome

Completed baffled by the purpose of this app.
I assume it’s to reduce questions directed towards the rep but there’s minimal useful information available. The app is scattered with minor incorrections, I can’t understand how such foundational drop downs can be wrong? For example during registration you can either be mrs, mr, doctor or doctor & professional. unsure whether the other titles are coded but not visible or whether they’ve just not been considered, either way, sorry unmarried non-professional women, you can’t sit with us.

Additionally to the annoyance of badly coded drop downs, after registration and logging in I received ‘sorry the app is not available at this time’.

Giving up with the logging in situation, I opted to just view the hotel. Why on earth does the app flip back to a web page which takes god knows how long to load? it eliminates the entire purpose of having an app 🤷🏼‍♀️
Tying all tui blue resorts to a central area seems to have been attempted but in my opinion not achieved.

On the plus there is information available, but the user needs to jump through hoops to find it. It’s much easier to use the tui holiday app and gather information through a booking.
