An easy way to view the glucose levels and insulin pump information of a person with diabetes.

When a family member or a friend has diabetes, you want to be supportive and stay close. You might want to know if their glucose levels go too high or too low, be able to quickly and easily access their insulin pump and Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) system information.

With the CareLink™ Connect app, now you can remotely see their glucose levels and insulin pump information wherever you are, so you can know how they are doing.

The CareLink™ Connect app helps you quickly accomplish these tasks:
Let you securely view glucose levels, graphs, and trends
Sends you high or low glucose levels notifications, so you can be informed and supportive
Shows you the status of the insulin pump system, for greater peace of mind

To remotely view pump system information, family members or friends need to install the CareLink™ Connect app on their compatible mobile device. Also, the person with diabetes needs a MiniMed™ 700-series insulin pump, the MiniMed™ Mobile app installed on a compatible mobile device, which then should be connected online to the CareLink™ software. To find a list of compatible devices, please visit your local Medtronic website.

IMPORTANT NOTE: In order to receive real-time updates, the app needs to continuously receive data from the CareLink™ servers, and the insulin pump system needs to sync with the CareLink™ servers through the MiniMed™ Mobile app. The CareLink™ Connect app only works with the MiniMed™ 700-series insulin pump systems; it currently does not support other standalone CGM systems, MiniMed™ or Paradigm™ insulin pumps.

The CareLink™ Connect app is intended to provide a secondary display of insulin pump and CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitoring) system data on a supported mobile device. CareLink™ Connect app is not intended to replace the real-time display of insulin pump or CGM data on the primary display device. All therapy decisions should be based on the primary display device.

CareLink™ Connect app is not intended to analyze or modify the insulin pump and CGM data that it receives. Nor is it intended to control any function of the insulin pump or CGM system to which it is connected. CareLink™ Connect app is not intended to receive information directly from the insulin pump or CGM system.

Great but missing some things

My wife recently got a new Medtronic pump that uses this App.

The app is mostly good at what it does but it would be better if you could make notifications repeat. Or make sure you have acknowledged them before it stops. Currently you only get 1 notification which isn’t great when it’s such an important health App.

My other MAJOR concern and something I would really like is to get a notification should the phone lose Bluetooth contact with the Pump/Sensor. Currently you don’t get any notification, my wife shares her pump data with me and her mum so we all get to know if she is having a hypo etc. The way things are currently her phone could be getting no information for hours (during the night etc ) and it doesn’t alarm at all. This also means I couldn’t help if required. I know her pump would vibrate if her sugar did drop low but it’s much better if phones alarmed.

I really think it would be beneficial if the iPhone App could send out a notification should data be lost for a period of time.

Connectivity issues

Doesn’t work very well with connectivity dropping out when away from wifi and at random times. I assume that someone is working on the 14.2 patch updates to sort ASAP! Thanks

Great start but a couple of bits missing

We have started using this today and the info within is great as a support tool. Please hurry with an Apple Watch app and support for a widget in IOS 14. Will be great to have our sons numbers on the Home Screen.
