Cherrypick: Plan | Shop | Cook 12+

We’ve been using Cherrypick for a few months now and LOVE being able to pick from the massive selection of recipes and the app automatically picks the ingredients from your fave supermarket, it even suggests which ingredients you may already have. There’s been some really thoughtful work that’s gone into this app and it’s made this weekly task much more enjoyable. I’ve always thought food delivery was a luxury but I’ve noticed that we have so much less food waste now that we’re actually buying food based on specific recipes (and the app works out how many items/packs you need based on how many portions you want!) rather than having to sit down to make a food plan and then go and traipse round finding everything in the supermarket. It’s the first time as a couple we’ve really been able to share the task as we both login on our phones and pick recipes and add items through the week and then place the order when we’re ready. For busy couples and families, it’s a time saver and a joy to use too. Thank you Cherrypick - beautifully designed app that really is making a difference to our everyday.

Cherry pick for the win. My aim this year is to eat fresher, waste less and try more. I also want to get my son eating more veg and less processed food. I used this app when it first started out as lollipop but along with a name change they’ve up-levelled to allow you to add recipes and their ingredients to Tescos delivery as well as sainos. This is a game changer. I haven’t tried the Asda collect option but using Tescos has saved me a lot of money on my weekly shop.

I select the recipes, tick the bits I need and boom, it adds to my Tescos account. Through the app you can also add your general groceries from the Tescos shelves (or amend the order on the tesco app later). Each week I’m cooking at least three new meals. My son has loved the sweet and sour chicken and the pesto, lemon chicken with giant cous cous. I can’t recommend enough I’ve done the Hello Fresh and Simply cook but the recipes just keep coming with Cherrypick and it’s minimal effort. You get the beauty of choice with the ease of not having to trudge through recipe books.

Absolutely fantastic piece of software, this is what HelloFresh, Gusto and all the other meal prep boxes wish they thought of.

Every single person I show or tell about this app, loves the idea, downloads it and is hooked, out of 4 people I’ve signed up, every single one of them has loved it and made it part of their weekly shop.

I used to be a HelloFresh customer but with continuous errors, delays and gross items I just gave up with them. I had always hoped for a “HelloFresh for Sainsbury’s.” this is just SO MUCH better than what I had ever envisioned.

It’s not only their own recipes but a huge array of recipes available. The system knowing which items you likely already have in your cupboards just cuts down on cost so much that this has literally started saving me money as my food wastage has gone down!

Then once I’ve selected my meals for the week, I then just throw in my normal items I buy from Sainsbury’s and go pick them all up as one.

I had a couple of small issues at the beginning, I reported them to their team and they were addressed in the following update! Incredibly agile to feedback that it was genuinely impressive.

I’m looking forward to where they take this application because it has the possibility to become even deeper rooted into my life.
