Circuit Laundry App
Use our latest smart-scan technology - and pay for your laundry with your phone.
Make doing the laundry less of a hassle with a mobile app that's as easy-to-use as our washing machines and dryers! The Circuit Laundry app lets you top up your Circuit app account* in seconds, and then you're good to go...just turn up at your nearest Circuit launderette, load your laundry, scan a machine's QR code and select the programme you want to start - job done! Your credit will be adjusted automatically so you'll always have your circuit account balance to hand. No need to stay and watch your washing.
Once the washer or dryer gets going the app also gives you a countdown** that tells you how long there is to go until your laundry is done.
* Please note that your Circuit app account is separate to your laundry card account you access from the Circuit website. If you haven’t used the Circuit app before you will need to sign up separately on the app. Balances from your laundry card cannot be transferred to your Circuit app account and vice versa.
**The app will rely on your phone having a wi-fi, 3G or 4G signal inside the laundry room to activate the machines - and also to see the countdown on the cycle if you leave to do something else while your wash completes. As long as you're connected, you can see how long is left on your chosen cycle and get on with other things instead of waiting in the launderette.

Needs fixing NOW!
My university accommodation for this year use circuit laundry machines so unfortunately I have been forced to put up with this useless app for a year! After years of using coin operated machines without a single issue, I have had nothing but constant problems from circuit! The app is the main source of these problems! Firstly it looks like an app developed in 2009, and has clearly not seen an update in a long time! This would be forgivable if the app was reliable, which it totally isn’t! Sometimes the app will decide that the money you have put on it through PayPal isn’t good enough and just clear your balance to zero! Sometimes it will decide half way through your wash cycle to crash and not allow you to log back in, leaving you with a heap of wet laundry and no means to dry it! Last night took the biscuit! After I had done my washing I went down to transfer it over to the drier. This load contained my bedding and work clothes. The Circuit app decided it couldn’t be bothered running at that time though so I had no choice but to go home with soaking wet laundry. I was forced to sleep on a bed without any sheets or bedding, in a room that smells damp, all because of this useless, ineffectual, pathetically run app! If you are a student accommodation looking to install these systems, I IMPLORE you to reconsider! The older coin operated system are much better and MUCH more reliable!!
Avoid if you want to save your cloths!
I really cannot understand why universities and faculties still use this provider. It’s my second university facility that use Circuit services and not only they haven’t being improved over the years but they have been worst. They must be really talented in failing. Starting from the laundry machines, they have all sorts of things as it seems they never get cleaned. Some of them they don’t rinse your cloths ending up paying 2-3 times the drying machines to get your cloths dry. The timer on the app never works as well as the links and the discounts. The dryers’ timer is not updated in the app and the dryers themselves they don’t perform properly. Just imagine that 2 underwear’s and 2 pairs of socks, together with 5 t-shirts and a towel they don’t get 100% dry after the end of their program. I can’t wait to finish my term to go back home and buy some new cloths as most of these are full of holes because of the poor dryers. Worst thing that happens to me was in my previous uni where the laundry machine discoloured my white shirt and when I complained, they asked to sent my tshirt to them for investigation and to restore it. They never sent me back my tshirt as it was “used for samples” and they refunded me only a few pounds in a form of topping up my account. Although I send them my buying receipt of that shirt that costed much much more than that.
Will start using Laundrapp instead
Awful service. Awful business model. I’ve had no end of troubles trying to do my washing. Machines have taken money from my account without putting the wash on before, and it’s now taken me over a week to still not be able to do my washing. Why would you have IT service lines open during hours most people are at work rather than when they’re doing their laundry? Silly. We’ve called numerous times and nobody was able to do anything because it’s ‘out of hours’. Perhaps customer service’s hours should change given more people are likely to do washing on a Saturday afternoon than a Monday morning... doesn’t take a genius. All we got told last time was that the systems were rebooted and the machines should work fine (they still don’t unless you have the actual card) and the time before that we were told to get a new account with the app on a different device. That lasted alol of two months before the next account broke. Shocking. You owe me at least ten hours of my life trying to resolve issues and being messed around as well as about £40 in money eaten by machines and taxis to the nearest laundrette as it’s too far to walk.
