Utterly useless app
This app used to efficiently show hourly, monthly and yearly usage data (showing cost and kwh) as well as daily meter readings and a clear billing system. In summary - It worked (which is more than I can say about the smart meter..)
Now, in some apparent effort to obfuscate, OVO has gone and ‘upgraded’ the app to the extent where daily usage does not appear (comes up with an error message), daily readings have also lost the cost element (the bar is there but cost has disappeared), meter readings have become sporadic (my last one only goes back to 5 April) and the billing system is now laughably confusing.
So, rather than address the numerous failings of the app, OVO simply points out that all of the information can be obtained via the website - true. What is the point of the app then?
Overall, don’t waste your time installing this app. It is superfluous rubbish that has been ‘upgraded’ by a 12 year old to the point where it is now dysfunctional. Just save your sanity and use the website..

As with any new platform, there's going to be teething issues whilst we set everything up.
We're confident that if you give it a bit of time to get used to, that you'll discover that there's lots more features on the new platform and that it should work in exactly the same way.

Wired to the moon
Asking how we are doing and to write a review, meanwhile getting charged for the electricity I’m using to writing this, very clever and the app is easy to use, does what I need it to do so far, no ads just reviews lol, their are things that work and then the things that work when you google it, and then things that are FFsWHtF who designed this, I’m phoning them on Monday morning but it doesn’t happen until the next month or year so on, and on this goes lifestyle in the way forget about everything the earth being flat on Tuesday and there are satellites but the government hides them in the Brexit board error, and I forgot there was no satellites the brexit board error is Irish and oh I’ve no phoned OVo, hope that explanation is still valid on this dimensionally challenging quantum string theory world of mind.
Easy to use and submit readings
Updated on 2 November - Since the last major upgrade, the app works like magic. Easy to submit meter readings and keep an eye on the energy usage.
Original review - Like other users, the app has become utterly unusable since the last “upgrade”. Never known a company that messes up its own app and encourages users to use the website.
But hey there maybe lots of new features by the time I have completely stopped using app. 😜
