Description

Use our latest smart-scan technology - and pay for your laundry with your phone.

Make doing the laundry less of a hassle with a mobile app that's as easy-to-use as our washing machines and dryers! The Circuit Laundry app lets you top up your Circuit app account* in seconds, and then you're good to go... just turn up at your nearest Circuit launderette, load your laundry, scan a machine's QR code and select the programme you want to start - job done! Your credit will be adjusted automatically so you'll always have your circuit account balance to hand. No need to stay and watch your washing.

Once the washer or dryer gets going the app also gives you a countdown** that tells you how long there is to go until your laundry is done.

* Please note that your Circuit app account is separate to your laundry card account you access from the Circuit website. If you haven’t used the Circuit app before you will need to sign up separately on the app. Balances from your laundry card cannot be transferred to your Circuit app account and vice versa.

**The app will rely on your phone having a wi-fi, 3G, 4G or 5G signal inside the laundry room to activate the machines - and also to see the countdown on the cycle if you leave to do something else while your wash completes. As long as you're connected, you can see how long is left on your chosen cycle and get on with other things instead of waiting in the launderette.

No refund will be given on balances of less than £5.00. Refunds will incur an administration charge of £3.00, which will be deducted directly from the refund value. Refunds will be made using the payment method used for the purchase. No refund will be processed for any free credit or voucher top ups. Unused credits will expire 12 months after the date of purchase. Please see our website www.circuit.co.uk for more information.

Appalling

Can we please transfer our remaining money on our accounts to our bank accounts so that we are not losing that money on the app forever! I think this is like common sense really to save money, bare in mind that we are just students and your basically ripping us off because, we are wasting hard earned cash on something we will rarely use. Also why is minimum amount £5, what’s this rule & where did it come from. This needs to be changed I don’t know why this hasn’t been implemented yet. During my first year at uni, I had to contact the the customer service team because the machine took my money without my washing, it is just appalling, eventually I did get my money back. I’m now in my third year of uni, but now other people are saying they are having problems getting their money back. Even if it is “30% cheaper” than local ones, this app doesn’t deserve people’s trust and I would just simply go elsewhere because you don’t go ripping people off just because you can, shows the lack of care and attitude of this company towards young students. Also the vending machines for washing machine powder are always out of stock at Grafton street sanctuary students, I guess they just sit there for room decoration now. The room is gross I’m not gonna lie eww, I hated being there it’s not clean. I think Apple Pay would be very helpful, some students in laundry room asked me if they take Apple Pay, I said unfortunately not 😠😠😠

Needs fixing NOW!

My university accommodation for this year use circuit laundry machines so unfortunately I have been forced to put up with this useless app for a year! After years of using coin operated machines without a single issue, I have had nothing but constant problems from circuit! The app is the main source of these problems! Firstly it looks like an app developed in 2009, and has clearly not seen an update in a long time! This would be forgivable if the app was reliable, which it totally isn’t! Sometimes the app will decide that the money you have put on it through PayPal isn’t good enough and just clear your balance to zero! Sometimes it will decide half way through your wash cycle to crash and not allow you to log back in, leaving you with a heap of wet laundry and no means to dry it! Last night took the biscuit! After I had done my washing I went down to transfer it over to the drier. This load contained my bedding and work clothes. The Circuit app decided it couldn’t be bothered running at that time though so I had no choice but to go home with soaking wet laundry. I was forced to sleep on a bed without any sheets or bedding, in a room that smells damp, all because of this useless, ineffectual, pathetically run app! If you are a student accommodation looking to install these systems, I IMPLORE you to reconsider! The older coin operated system are much better and MUCH more reliable!!

Will start using Laundrapp instead

Awful service. Awful business model. I’ve had no end of troubles trying to do my washing. Machines have taken money from my account without putting the wash on before, and it’s now taken me over a week to still not be able to do my washing. Why would you have IT service lines open during hours most people are at work rather than when they’re doing their laundry? Silly. We’ve called numerous times and nobody was able to do anything because it’s ‘out of hours’. Perhaps customer service’s hours should change given more people are likely to do washing on a Saturday afternoon than a Monday morning... doesn’t take a genius. All we got told last time was that the systems were rebooted and the machines should work fine (they still don’t unless you have the actual card) and the time before that we were told to get a new account with the app on a different device. That lasted alol of two months before the next account broke. Shocking. You owe me at least ten hours of my life trying to resolve issues and being messed around as well as about £40 in money eaten by machines and taxis to the nearest laundrette as it’s too far to walk.
