I hardly ever you my phone, any excuse not to, so can imagine how terrified I was even trying. It was such an easy process though,as you are helped every step of the way. A 5 year old could do it & I am a person of retirement age. I will admit the 1st selfie I took was pretty shocking. I looked like I had been dug up. So easy as you are asked if you wish to delete and try again( can do so as many times as you like until happy) The whole process takes less than 5 mins.

I am not happy at having to use this app to get work. I literally feel like I have signed my life away in order to have a right to work check which I had to pay for, because the company using it don’t across the £4 themselves.
When I read the terms and conditions on this app, which I had no choice to use alternative methods, I am giving permission to a whole host of companies to check everything from my bank, to political affiliations, etc, etc. talk about big brother watching and knowing your every move! Hate this over reliance on gathering people’s data and info on their lives, then stating that even though, encryption takes place they can’t guarantee your data won’t be taken and that nothing is ever private!
I don’t want to download apps not of my choosing, I don’t want to give random companies my details that they will share with others to check 5 million things about me. I don’t want them to hold my image & data for 3 months, scan the biometrics of my passport and share my data with a load of companies that do checks that I’ve never heard of. Signed my life away in order to be able to work. Crazy world!! 😩

The app seems overall very convenient, however I had some issues that made my identification review super frustrating.
-You can only scan a single page which is very inconvenient if you have statements that have more pages; I had to print multiple pages in one sheet which resulted in the text being hardly legible.
-the photos taken for some reason really dropped the quality, lots of photos were unfocused and i doubt this was an issue with my phone as my normal camera works better
-the nfc for passports sound very convenient but my passport does not have this feature. I wish it was possible to skip this
