I hardly ever you my phone, any excuse not to, so can imagine how terrified I was even trying. It was such an easy process though,as you are helped every step of the way. A 5 year old could do it & I am a person of retirement age. I will admit the 1st selfie I took was pretty shocking. I looked like I had been dug up. So easy as you are asked if you wish to delete and try again( can do so as many times as you like until happy) The whole process takes less than 5 mins.

The app seems overall very convenient, however I had some issues that made my identification review super frustrating.
-You can only scan a single page which is very inconvenient if you have statements that have more pages; I had to print multiple pages in one sheet which resulted in the text being hardly legible.
-the photos taken for some reason really dropped the quality, lots of photos were unfocused and i doubt this was an issue with my phone as my normal camera works better
-the nfc for passports sound very convenient but my passport does not have this feature. I wish it was possible to skip this

I spent some time working out how to scan the NFC chip on the UK passport; this is the little gold square at the bottom of the cover. I had to check the internet to work this out. You virtually have to touch the square with your camera to get it to register. It’s still not clear whether you should actually rest your phone on the passport but after trying several positions the scan worked. Aside from that this is a wonderful time saving process. My feedback .. make the NFC scan instructions clearer
