Too easy!!

I’ve only played it for a day and find that the game play is pretty unrealistic compared to the last version. I easily won the 50
Over cup. Bowling teams out for under 100 each time . And the 4 day gameplay seems to have a trend of the lower order scoring heavily every game rather than the openers . I like the run rate amount feature . But I may have to change the game difficulty to hard because it got a bit boring turning teams over without any problems . Apart from that gameplay is exactly the same and you are basically paying £8 for a player update and an easier time .

Good but need to fix spin bowlers

Very much enjoy the game however you need to sort out spin bowling. Too often are average spinners getting 5-6 wickets before lunch on the first day and consistently 10 in the match, even when the pitch is supposedly not spinning. I wouldn’t necessarily have a problem with this but it’s not consistent for me, in the same match where my batters have been reduced to looking like schoolboys by an average spinners my spinner will often go 30 odd overs with no wickets at over 4 an over. This is not how cricket works, if the pitch is going to be a minefield for spinners on one team it should behave the same for spinners on the other. Also don’t get me started on the shots my batters play when they’re set quite defensive when I’m trying to see out a match. As I said the game is enjoyable but these issues among others often make the game unplayable at times for me.

The Other RB ,

Always enjoy, could improve in some minor areas

Have had these games since 2014 for PC, and found a copy of 2001 the other day. The engine is largely unchanged from 2001 but I suppose there’s not much to improve there, it’s a great concept. The problem is that it doesn’t compare to Football Manager at all, and could do with more on contract negotiations and so on.

The only area where the game has gone backwards in recent years - and I don’t know when they stopped doing this - is the fact the background is the same for every ground. Would prefer having different backgrounds for different grounds.
