Game freezing but an amazing port of one of kojimas best games (in my opinion)

Still amazes me to this day that we are getting AAA games that run well on iOS! Been playing the game from the start again (Most of my game progress was on steam before) the only issue i am having it the game seems to freeze at the first shower scene.

I have tried uninstalling the game, restarting my iPad. But nothing seems to work.

Mouse and keyboard would be amazing to have on a game like this (especially on iPad) but it seems like it isn’t fully added as sometimes the iOS cursor appears and makes it so the mouse wont move in game, sometimes restarting the game works but in other cases no. RuneScape classic managed this so it can be done.

I love that the dualsense controller works so well! If I wasn’t paying attention to the fact I’m on my iPad id think its a portable ps5!

For me this game is amazing in its own weird delivery man way, an update to address frame issues, freezing and mouse and keyboard support fully implemented.

5 stars just for bringing it to iOS!

Haven’t played it yet in all honesty but I bought regardless even though I I never played it just because personally I want to support premium games as much as possible on iOS and the fact that this was bought to Apple iOS is amazing. From what I’ve seen and the reviews it plays fantastic, I use the m2 iPad Pro 1tb 16gb ram and res evil village and res evil 4 run great so don’t expect issues with this one which has been even more optimised. Edit: so naturally the game runs fantastic, but one thing I really hope they do is enable graphic settings for the iPad Pro because the settings are set to low and it scan definitely go higher on the m2 pro especially on the 16gb models as it looks ok but the low resolution and motion blur need adjusting but there are no options for this so for that I am removing a star, otherwise it be 5 stars.

Edit: after playing I changed it to 5 stars, firstly because even the ps5 version doesn’t have graphic controls and secondly because it plays fantastic. Solid frame rate, zero dips, and is the full death stranding experience so anyone on the fence? Just buy, you won’t go wrong!

M1 Pro Max - screen tearing

I’ve got this on my PS4, albeit not the Directors Cut, and it’s one of the finest games ever made. The fact it works on my M1 iPad is crazy. However, there are a couple of problems. The Mac version suffers minor screen tearing at the default 2K resolution, which does spoil things slightly. There seems to be little consideration placed on optimisation of the iOS version; the install size is way too big for the device. Well, not unless you have nothing else installed. Perhaps the devs could have made the iOS version device specific, for example, reducing the texture sizes and down sampling some of the sound slightly. As it stands 150+GB install is a bit steep on such a small device. If the screen tearing on the Mac version could be fixed, it would be nigh-on perfect.
