Description
Personalize your Ronin shooting experience with the latest Ronin app from DJI. You can access and manage gimbal motor parameters, SmoothTrack, remote setup, and Ronin’s unique Axis Modes.
1.Easy, automated motor tuning
With Auto Tune, Ronin app can adjust motor parameters automatically based off the payload mounted. With such base line, you can further adjust the Stiffness, Strength, Control and Filter parameters accordingly.
2.Adaptive SmoothTrack
When Acceleration is set to be much higher than Speed, the Ronin will handle operator’s movements adaptively. You can achieve a complicated long take with only one group of settings.
3.Create with ease
With the newly added CamAnchor and Track mode, you can plan your shot in advance and execute it by a simple click.
4.Live gimbal data feed
Access gimbal operation data in real time and diagnose gimbal status.

The number of features you can control via the app is pretty good. Far better than the PilotFly offering. Although I is very annoying having to buy another cable for the Ronin S to work with my Sony A7Riii when there are two other usb cables for other brands in the box. I wouldn’t have minded it so much but the cost is crazy. £17 for the cable and £15 for the postage!!
The control though is very good. Couple of features missing that could easily be added such as a LOOP button for tracking, timelapse, motion lapse etc. And a simple home button to center the gimbal.
Good improvement over the previous Ronin M I had and for the cost a very good price. I’ve got a Atomos Ninja V hooked up to mine as well.
No motion lapse feature!?
I recently bought the Ronin SC and mounted my Sony A6400 in it. The gimbal itself is fantastic and I love all the features, but I seems that on the app I have no motion lapse option!?
I’m frustrated because that’s one of the reasons I thought this would be cool.

Motion lapse is included in the timelapse page. You can add 5 points to do motion lapse.
Very good but needs more features
The app is pretty good as is when used with the RS2 and RS3 but it’s lacking many features which would make if more useful. One that I would like to add most is anamorphic de-squeeze from the RavenEye. I’d be surprised if the tech isn’t there to enable this feature. Would love to see 1.3,1.5,1.8 and 2x de-squeeze please. Also when storing mo-Co moves it would be amazing to store manual focus settings too. Thanks for a great system otherwise.
