With Echo, you can manage the medication of up to six people (including yourself) from the ease of your smartphone. Simply tell us your GP surgery and request your NHS repeat medication through the touch of a button.
Once your GP has approved the request, we send you the repeat prescription via Royal Mail, free of charge.
When you receive your medication, we send you reminders for when and how to take it—helping you to stay on track.

Great service, work on app and relationship with surgery’s would put you in the lead
Awesome app. Been a customer for a while now, there’s abit of development needed in terms of the timing of ‘request now’ showing, often can cause confusion with gp surgery’s if you have already had a prescription recently and you’ve requested another because the app has told you too prematurely. Also think it would be good to contact surgery’s proactively where your customers are based if you haven’t got this in place already and give them a good background on what you are doing and what you are delivering for patients. I did sit with my GP and show her the app and how it works Ect and she was impressed however there are competitors and you want to stand out from the crowd, relationship management is really key to this. Happy to feedback further if it helps. I work for NHS myself and I am overall really impressed with this service, if an appointment can cost anywhere between £30-£85 with a patient and you’re helping patients by pass this by keeping them up to date with when their reviews actually are ect then what can go wrong.
Brilliant app - easy to use and great customer service
Have been using this app for several months now. I have a repeat prescription but find it hard to get to a pharmacy due to work commitments. However, it’s a doddle with Echo. Get reminded, place the request, pay through the app and boom! It arrives through the door. (Not with a real explosion - that was for effect!)
Had a hiccup recently, though. Another healthcare app that manages my company medical insurance usurped Echo as my pharmacy of choice declared to my GP surgery. When I tried to order with Echo, the process stalled but Echo kept emailing me to keep me updated. When it came to action required from me, I dealt with Echo customer services and after a couple of promptly answered emails, Echo had sorted out the issue and the app notified me that my prescription was ready for payment. All fixed - great customer support.
There are similar apps out there for this function (and some will change your preferred pharmacy for you, it turns out), but I can’t fault Echo. If any part could be improved, I would like to see a ‘request and authorise payment’ option (rather than it being 2 separate operations separated by a nominal day or two), which preauthorises the payment on the condition that the GP approves the prescription. The next event would then be the prescription coming through the letterbox instead of a second visit to the app to pay once the GP has approved the request.

I have 4 ongoing prescriptions that all run out at various intervals . This app has allowed me to keep track of what needs ordering and when , and is amazingly fast with fantastic communication.
It’s taken the stress and hassle of having to drop into the surgery for a repeat prescription, then allowing the surgery 24/48 hours to produce the prescription, then another 24/48 hrs before I can collect it from the designated pharmacy , all of which requires explaining at length what I need , why and when.
Now, it’s just a tap on my phone to confirm I do need the prescription that they’re reminding me of and waiting a couple of days for it to arrive in the post. They communicate all along the way about each stage of the process so you know what’s happening and when to expect it and it requires very little effort at all to get what you need.
My lifestyle is busy and often stressful and this has reduced so much Aggravation for me that I’m really grateful the app exists 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
