App is good although it’s hard to get an easy guide as to what the morning readiness scores mean when they fall on different sides ie what’s the difference between 7 parasympathetic verses 7 sympathies. The CorSence reader is very poor - easy to get connection but very difficult to get reading. Seems to loose its battery power quickly. Really disappointed especially when had to pay a quarter of the price in import duty as well as the cost of the product. Frustrating

Great when it works

First the positive. This is a great resource with loads of backup information, guides and podcasts on everything HRV. I’ve been using another HRV training app for some time and Elite HRV is stronger on a number of fronts.
The negative. Having become invested in the app, it is practically useless to me know due to hart rate monitor connectivity issues. At first my Polar H10 connected flawlessly with the app and then over the course of a day or two it became intermittent and now I’m getting really frustrated as I can’t connect it at all. The H10 is on the same firmware it has previously connected with. A check of the Help pages within the app describes about 5 different long-winded methods to try to reconnect the heart rate monitor with the app. Tried them all, so I’d be surprised if the steps stated sort ‘99% of issues’ as they claim. I’ve previously used the H10 with other apps and it has literally never skipped a beat (pun intended!). This app is poorly coded when it comes to Bluetooth connectivity, time to get it sorted before people walk away. Hopeful of an update soon to resolve otherwise it’ll be deleted.

Signal stability using Wahoo Tickr

The latest update has removed the ability to see if I’m getting a good signal from my Tickr HR chest strap. I have limited time in the morning whilst eating breakfast before work and previously I could see if the signal was bad and make adjustments. Now I can’t and have to wait 2 mins 15 seconds to find out. If I get 2 poor readings in a row then I give up as I don’t have time to keep retaking.
I am not entirely convinced by HRV reading having been using this app for several months. I am a dedicated cyclist, following a good structured training plan and I’ve not been able to correlate performance against what EliteHRV is indicating. Now, unfortunately, due to the latest update I probably won’t be able to continue to evaluate it further, and no, I’m not going to buy a CoreSense device! Not until I’m, and other people experts in sports performance, are convinced that HRV is useful for performance gains.
