Like the recent GUI however

I like some of the subtle updates to the GUI in this version and the ability to scroll landscape from one camera to the next without losing connection....HOWEVER, in my mind an immediate fix is required to provide the ability to view cctv cameras off Home network. This version has lost the ability to view remotely away from home which is key for this “remote” app!

buffering issues constant loading takes forever

What is wrong with this app?! Whole idea of having a cctv app is that you can click on it and view your cctv footage at any given moment. This app is slow it buffers for ages-I mean what’s the point if you need to view the camera footage ASAP especially when you are away from the home and it takes forever to load. The quality is fine and also depends on what technology you are viewing it on I have an iPhone XR and the quality in HD is pretty good but the buffering is annoying. Sort it out please as this app kind of defeats the point of having the cctv to view on the go!
This has to be sorted ASAP because at times I feel as though I have to view my property and surroundings but how can I do that when it doesn’t ever load properly!!!!

Change settings to make this version work

This app was ok on a low SD stream but since the recent app update it struggles to get beyond the “buffering” message.

I have set to the lowest quality and lowest frame rate and I have a pretty reasonable ADSL upload speed so see no reason why it should not work. I have tried rebooting the NVR etc

UPDATE

With a hint from another review, I now have it much better and can see remotely even with a better quality sub stream. The trick for me was to change the HTTP port. Odd that it did not cause a problem before with the old app. Settings that work for me on standard ADSL2 broadband are

Log into NVR main menu
Encode tab- in Extra Stream column use D1, 2, VBR, high, 2
IP tab - change HTTP port from 80 to 83 (this is the key step) and Transfer Policy to Fluency Preferred

Log out and back in again on the mobile app
