Pretty good

5 stars for the app to report problems but they need to be manually removed once sorted by the relevant parties so often checking local area gives age old reports as the person reported hasn’t updated when fixed.
Also I sent a problem about a damaged tree and neither the location or picture was passed to the parks dept meaning they had to waste their and my time contacting me for info I had already given.
Hence reduced stars.

Fantastic App, Easy to Use, exact location and add a photo

I have used this Fantastic app for several years. It works perfectly well 99% of the time. Easy to Use, pinpoints location; easily add a photo which ids “worth a thousand words”. Councils mainly respond promptly and efficiently. The only exception is blocked road drains where in Bucks they just don’t have enough drain clearance vehicles, which is not the system’s fault. If anything the ease of reporting must highlight this problem and generate investment.

Needs some improvements

I have used FixMyStreet on several occasions. It often results in prompt action by the local town council.

Although I’m permanently signed in to my account, I find it frustrating that to complete a report the app requires my password to be re-entered at the final submission step.

This ought not to be necessary.

When you’re out and about and you have a high entropy password, because the app is only used occasionally, this usually means that I cannot complete the submission until I am back home.

You could obviate this step completely, or for phones that support the feature, you could even facilitate TouchID or FaceID.

Likewise, you could also ensure that the app is compatible with secure password managers such as LastPass.

One star less than five on account of these minor weaknesses.
