Really great features

Some great features that do not tell you about it is like a VPN to that protects you from know threats such as scammers know. I hope they keep the community free and to date. Having the Wotcha 👋 application on my phone is really easy and makes managing my online activities easier by having a standalone application on my screen too

Wotcha! App

Love the protection given but how am I supposed to get my online French lessons back on my phone if I’m not allowed to leave your blue/white screen? I’ve got other apps I have to work from but can’t if I want to do my projects and lessons in my own apps. The developers need to incorporate this issue into their programmings of the Wotcha app, take into consideration that work and schooling is just as important and vital, too, and also adjust their app accordingly to allow use of the owner’s phone’s apps where lessons take place and work does, too. It shouldn’t also be stopping the use of airtime with friends in the conversational apps either (FB, IG or others like these). Sorry for the small gripe. But other than this, I do like how it’s free until suggested to up the stakes with extra protection (pay to use more features).

Could be 10x better

The utility of this app is good. Providing a way to identify spam calls using the strong Who Called Me? database. But firstly, why isn’t this app just called “Who Called Me?” I can never remember the name “Wotcha”, which doesn’t even relate to what the app does, and this makes it hard for me to locate on my phone.

Next, when there is an incoming call, and Wotcha identifies it as a scam call, why on earth does it display a green tick ✅? If it’s a scam call, and I shouldn’t answer it, then surely it should display a red cross?? ❌

It’s also shame that the app doesn’t provide a share sheet option, like Truecaller does, which allows you to easily look up a missed call in the app, without having to copy the number, open the app and paste it in.
