Gone Home is an interactive exploration simulator. Interrogate every detail of a seemingly normal house to discover the story of the people who live there. Open any drawer and door. Pick up objects and examine them to discover clues. Uncover the events of one family's lives by investigating what they've left behind.

Go Home Again.

Great

I was a little bit skeptical because I saw the bad reviews of this game, but I was quite surprised. It’s super detailed and the story is quite an emotional rollercoaster. You can also find out interesting things about the family too, it’s a big house so there is quite a lot of exploring. Only down side is that i personally would’ve liked it to be longer. It lasted me about an hour.

Excellent, really enjoyed!

This is a story based game full of detail which reveal clues about the main plot and sub plots. Your encouraged to look through these clues to progress through the game so I can understand why some might not have the patience for this sort of experience. If you like taking your time though and reading through the numerous letters and newspaper articles throughout the house, this can be a really rewarding game. The main story was interesting and had a pleasant and satisfying ending. Think of this as more of a story telling experience and if that’s your thing then this is the game for you!

Not for everyone

I personally found this quite monotonous. You basically walk around a house, picking things up to see if they’re relevant to the story. There’s no challenge to it and no intelligence or skill required. Sometimes the interactivity can be a little buggy (even when it says open drawer, you may find yourself picking up a pencil instead) and the controls on iPad are a bit of a head mash (you’ll find yourself swiping the wrong side of the screen a lot). All in all, a little unfulfilling.
