Hi app author! thanks for the response. Do you have an email address? Or maybe you can add a contact form to the app? I don’t think I can add images to a reviewI do really like this app.The authors kindly implemented my last suggestion. Hopefully I can ask for another:The easy access dictionary entries lead with the part of speech information. I think it’s important to have access to this but I don’t think it needs to be so prominent. The meaning entry is good to be highlighted in orange but I think the verbose part of speech info clutters the appearance. I.e. I feel the space taken by information should be roughly proportional to how used/useful it is.I think switching the order would be fine so meaning comes first, or making the part of speech info part of the view more section?Once again thanks for a great app!Fixed! — Id love it if it also allowed either a long press or a double tap or 3D Touch to look up words in the dictionary. At the moment it’s long press then choose copy which is a bit clunky.Interestingly it does have tap to lookup the orange highlighted words but there seems to be no control over which ones are orange highlighted. And that seems to be only on the basic articles.

This is app is absolutely amazing. Not only can you read articles based on your level and look up words immediately without the disruption of having to switch to a dictionary, you can also practice the words you’ve just seen with flash cards that have images for better memorisation. There are also further tests and jlpt prep which seems great. I am very impressed with this app and would recommend to anyone who wants to learn or simply keep their Japanese alive. Thank you for creating this!

Brilliant app. I can actually enjoy reading Japanese news, because I can listen at the same time and that powers me through. Also the most effective vocabulary learning tool I I’ve found, and as the vocabulary relates to current affairs it’s all useful words. I’m at C1 level now (~N2?) and have used this app from beginner level. At every stage of my learning this has been my favourite Japanese app, and I know I will continue to use it as I improve further. Absolutely worth it and more. Thanks to the developer!

Really good for reading and vocab

This app is really good for improving vocab, grammar and general reading. Kanji are colour coded to correspond with JLPT level, and you can choose which level you want highlighted with furigana. For example I have passed N5, so opted for N4 and above Kanji to be highlighted. There are also helpful vocab lists and flash cards for each article, and a chance to have a go at translating it too.All in all a really great app and well worth the price for the premium version.
