Description

Reminders makes it easier than ever to remember the things you need to do. You can use it for all of life's to-dos, including shopping lists, projects at work or anything else you want to track. And with iCloud, it’s easy to keep all your devices in sync, so you’ll always have your reminders with you.

Features

Fast and easy to use
• Use Siri to create reminders with your voice.
• Complete, tag, flag or change the date and time for several reminders at once.
• Use powerful keyboard shortcuts to speed up your workflow.
• Add a widget to your Home Screen on iOS and iPadOS, or Notification Centre on macOS, to view and complete reminders.
• Make shopping easier with shopping lists that automatically group related items into sections like dairy and produce.

Powerful organisation
• Smart Lists - Today, Scheduled, Flagged, All, and Assigned to Me and Completed - automatically organise and display upcoming reminders.
• Organise your reminders with tags to make them easy to find.
• Custom Smart Lists automatically include reminders that matter most to you by gathering to-dos based on tags, dates, times, locations, flags and priority.
• Sort reminders by title, priority, deadline or creation date. Or manually move reminders up and down within any list so they are in the order you prefer.
• Use subtasks to add additional detailed tasks to a reminder.
• Organise reminders within a list by creating section headers; try viewing sections in column view to arrange them across your screen. It’s a powerful way to visualise tasks or even make simple kanban boards.
• Save a list as a template to reuse it for routines, packing lists and more. Share templates with others via a link or download templates that others have shared.

Be reminded when and how you want
• Set reminders to repeatedly remind you daily, weekly or at custom intervals.
• Trigger reminders by specific locations, for example when you arrive at home or work, or when you get in your car.
• Tag people in a reminder to get a reminder the next time you chat with them in Messages.

Collaborate with others
• Share and collaborate on a list of reminders - everyone with access to the shared list will be able to add or complete reminders.
• Assign reminders to people with whom you share lists.

Intelligence
• Get smart suggestions that you can add with a tap based on reminders you’ve created in the past.
• Natural language support allows you to type phrases to create reminder settings. Try something like “Jog every other morning” for a specific, recurring reminder.

Reminders for Apple Watch
• Get notified and mark reminders as complete direct from your wrist and automatically sync across your iPhone, iPad or Mac with iCloud.
• View reminders and create new ones directly on your Apple Watch.

Certain features are available only in selected languages and regions.

Changed to 5 stars

Old review: I use this app a lot. Whenever I long tap on a reminder, and I click on “remind me in an hour”, the notification disappears and it reminds me in an hour, so that’s good. The problem is, the app doesn’t actually update the reminder within it, and I get the annoying badge + the original date and time in the app. Please make it such that it also updates the date and time in the actual app UI. New review: I would like to congratulate the team on incredible leaps in useful features. The recent “Early Reminder” feature is the best thing I could have asked for. The app is incredibly nicely built, and as a consequence it helps organised people stay organised. My favourite features are the lists, early reminders and the fact that the app has barely any problems! I know it’s not a feature, but it is still delightful.

Almost Perfect!

I am an incredibly heavy user of the Reminders app. It is an essential part of my daily life and I don’t know what I would do without it! Its highlighting feature for me is its amazing design. The rounded corners make it modern and simplistic. I’m also a huge fan of its productivity features and how I can organise my reminders. The Lists feature makes it extremely easy to sort my reminders based on their context. I also love how I can see all of my Today reminders in one area. Even small details like how I can customise the icons for my Lists and see all of my scheduled reminders in chronological order make it an even greater joy to use. However, there is one feature that I wish Apple could add, which is the ability to add multiple URL links to a reminder. This would be useful because there have been countless times in which I needed to look at multiple websites. Since I can’t save their links to a single reminder, I’m forced to create separate ones, which makes my List incredibly cluttered. Nonetheless, I would totally recommend this app to anyone!

This feels like a downgrade

I have been in the habit of using Reminders on a daily basis. In recent years, I'm not sure going how far back, it has been possible to click on "Manage" against the notification for a reminder, then mark it complete without exiting the lockscreen. In this way, a series of reminders could quickly and easily be completed from the lockscreen. Since iOS15, this functionality has disappeared in favour of incessantly prompting to turn off time-sensitive reminders - all of them (why? Who would need to do that.) or disable other classes of reminder, similarly far-fetched use cases. This "improvement" affects notifications from other apps like Fantastical also, so maybe it's the notifications system that's gone awry.
In any case, can we please have this back?
The current work flow if you have say three notifications, say two from reminders and one from Calendar, you are forced to click through to open the Reminders app, where ok you can complete however many are up within that app; but then you have ro close the phone, open the lockscreen, slide up to view remaining notifications and go through the same DUMB process again.
