Easy set up, first time around is to programme the floor layout. I would recommend moving as much out of the way as possible for this stage and open doors half way so the Bott has good access. Once the map is programmed you can then set zones up for individual rooms. Our property is a 3 bed bungalow with an extension so quite a large area to do in one go. It's done 3/4 in one battery charge and then returns to base, empties and when charged goes off again to finish the job. We have two dogs with hard floors and this is superb. It's somewhat brave climbing over domed bar stool feet and deep piled carpets and has no problems breaching a 20mm door threshold, bit of a warrior in that respect. Still lots to explore but so far it's really good
Yikes!

Very questionable choices made re: vac set up UX. The app does identify the model of your vac, but rather than personalise the steps to the model, it attempts to cover instructions for multiple different models in a single step (“if you have this then that”). What’s worse it only differentiates the models by brief descriptions of the buttons rather than the actual model name. There is an illustrative picture of one type of vac, icons of the buttons of another, and the third is only described. Not only does this give people info they don’t need to bother with, it makes it hard to make a confident decision on how to proceed. Additionally, I think the team should sit down with their docs, vacs and apps and see what happens to the lights at each step (eg before pairing while charging) - they might find that the “blinking lights” pairing mode indication is a little vague. There’s also no indication when the vac decides to turn off pairing mode nor is it clear that it’s still on if you’re dealing with a product brand new to you. This further means that you’re probably gonna end up initiating pairing mode multiple times before success. This requires a press and hold of buttons that have little physical feedback; again very error prone - and this is definitely not a great experience for anyone with chronic pain or arthritis (group that you’d think might be overrepresented in this customer base).Additionally there’s no ability to modify or adjust volume of alerts on vac, or eg switch from human speech to sound effects.Overall both the app and device itself have some serious accessibility flaws. Feels rushed. I’m surprised to say that a comparable competitor product from a foreign market has better design if it’s not as sturdy in construction.
Good but some issues

Overall it’s quite good.It does have a couple of glaring problem though. It can’t understand two rooms with hard floor separated by a room with carpet.Imagine a floor with 3 rooms/zones:Zone 1 - hard floorZone 2 - carpet Zone 3 - hard floorBase station is in zone 1. There is no route from 1 to 3 without going through 2.If it is in its base station in zone 1 and you tell it to mop zone 3, it does nothing as it can’t find a route to get to 3 without crossing the carpet. Not ideal, as there’s no error message explaining the issue but not a major problem. If you carry it to zone 3 and press play it will happily mop the floor. When it is done however, it can’t find a route back to the base station and just keeps traversing the perimeter of the room. You have to chase it down and press stop then carry it back to zone 1.It would be good if it had a bit more intelligence to realise it can’t get home and asked to be carried across, or just stop. Alternatively, a setting that allowed it to briefly go through the carpet zone just to get to/from another zone would be good. Not sure how much dirt this might get on the carpet though.—-Another issue, is that like many I have two stories in my house and I don’t plan on buying two of these. I would like to be able to map two floors and be able to carry my hoover upstairs and press play to have it clean there in the same way as downstairs with zones etc.
App very basic
Mrs Squee
The app for this is really basic and has limited functionality for what could be a really great product No ability to schedule anything but a time!!Could do with being able to schedule a full house clean with a mop and on higher cleaning levels once a week for example, but you have to set the cleaning levels and chosen rooms manually each day so not really a schedule as you would expectNo ability to add second map, as others have mentioned so you have to have one robot for each floor!!The app randomly misses rooms that were set to be cleaned and the reports are not always accurate, the mission complete report sometimes tells me it’s cleaned 27 sq feet but looking at the report from the calendar states 317 sq feet!!!! (and various other combinations)Unable to modify the map without totally remapping which is a pain if you change furniture around so could really do with the ability to map a room, rather than delete and start again just because you’ve moved a chair or sofa!!!!Also cannot zoom in on the map unless in the edit mode, would like to zoom from the mission page to see missed areas better etcVery disappointed with the app for this and would probably look at a different brand if had known these things before buying
