In 1986 the world war between the Soviet Union and the Western Bloc ended in mutual nuclear bombings. Both superpowers went down in flames. The impact of the fallout almost ended civilization as we know it. You are one of the survivors of the apocalypse.
Your mission - to explore the wild and wondrous postnuclear world of the Soviet Wasteland. To earn your place under the sun in this new age. To investigate retro style bunkers, descend into a stalker filled metro, fight terrible mutants and solve a shadowy conspiracy, aimed at destroying all that is left of life on Earth.

So far so good. Love it that you can also use the joystick rather than tap to move. However ! The tip windows are tiny on an iPhone XS. Can you make those much bigger as there’s room to use The conversations and choices are a good size to read. But please increase the size of the tip onesScratched the surface so far and it’s great. Huge non linear open world and I can’t wait to play more
A European Fallout Experience

Atom RPG has its faults. But so does every single other of my favourite games. The combat is very old XCOM/Fallout turn based esque, but can be really satisfying when it pays off. The AI can be clunky but usually responds realistically (going behind cover etc.) and the occasional issue can pull you out of the game. However, Atom RPG has a rich lore, diverse array of characters, quests and items to interact with, a story that after 70+ hours of playing I haven’t even reached the end of! And multiple ways to play, with different companions, character builds and ways to complete missions. There’s moral choices you can change, there’s ways to complete quests that aren’t spelt out for you. And through the different character traits/skills, you can easy get 2 or more play throughs of this game (Good vs Evil + different experimental classes/builds).The devs still update and fix this game to this day and it shows in the reviews. A year ago there were many bugs and issues. But now? I didn’t have a single game breaking bug, maybe the occasional crash but I’d recommend frequent saves (every time you complete a quest or move to a new location/after a fight) regardless. In short. Atom RPG is not a perfect game. But if you’re a fan of 2.5d/isometric RPG games with a post apocalyptic twist, European takes on American humour and characters that are very well written. I’d recommend purchasing it any day of the week. I rate it 5* because, in my opinion, it’s a truly worthwhile game to get and the amount of content is truly staggering.

I don't often write reviews but felt for this on I had to.Came across Atom RPG by chance looking for good old CRPG games on mobile via an internet search and this popped up. Would never of found it on the AppStore otherwise which is a crying shame.Just finished my first run through of this game at about 100hr gameplay (I took my time and ground a few levels for personal preference) and am looking forward to starting my next!This is a game that takes the essence of the Fallout 1 & 2 gameplay and has build out a wonderful game set in post apocalyptic Russia. The conversion to mobile has been very well executed with the addition of a joystick and a button to highlight and label interactive items.A few bits still seem to not work on mobile but there have been regular releases to correct;I couldn't get 'monster law expert' to work on mobile and if I was in a location where the car was also and went to global map when driving off the car glitched to off map forcing a reload of an earlier save. Over all I thoroughly enjoyed playing this and really hope their expansion 'ATOM RPG Trudograd' soon makes it to mobile too!

Edit: The recent update has addressed the crashing issues and some others which means the game is now playable. The port still isn’t perfect, but it’s good. And the game is great, so if you are a fan of this style of RPG, it’s an absolute must buy.Played this on steam, and if I had to give a rating for the game itself it would be an easy 5 stars. However, for me on a 3 year old iPad Pro, the game is unplayable. Even at medium and lowest settings, the game crashes randomly every 10 minutes or so. It is laggy, and some text is cut off at the top of the screen. I will update my review if these issues are addressed, but for now I find it difficult to recommend.
