Good App, Just some small Criticisms

I've been using simply guitar for a couple weeks now and over all it is a good app. However I've noticed it only picks up on what note you've played and not if you've played it right. For example I'll be doing my lesson and the app tells me I've got the note right, however I know that it didn't sound very good, due to buzzing or not plucking the strings right and causing the sound to get cut off. This is annoying because i know I've played the right note but I've not played the note right if you know what I mean? Consider adding a feature that detects things like buzzing and incorrect plucking, maybe add a yellow note that informs the user that although they've played the right note, something about the way it was played made it sound different than it should be if the user gets 5+ yellow notes re play the video shown at the start of the begginer course that informs the user how to properly position their fingers and strum to prevent buzzing and cut off notes? Just an idea that I know I and many other users would find helpful. Apart from that, good app overall!

This app was a huge disappointment. As a beginner with an electric guitar, I trusted Simply Guitar to handle the basics safely, especially tuning. Instead, the tuning instructions were confusing, pushy, and completely careless. While following the app’s tuning guidance, the thinnest string on my electric guitar snapped.That should never happen with a so-called “beginner” app. Beginners don’t know how much tension is too much, and Simply Guitar does absolutely nothing to explain it. There are no clear warnings, no reminders to slow down, and no explanation of how easy it is to overtighten a string. The app just keeps pushing you forward like breaking strings is your fault.This was extremely frustrating. Guitar strings cost money, and breaking one right at the start kills motivation. A beginner app should make learning easier and safer, not stressful and damaging. It honestly feels like this app was not properly designed or tested for electric guitars or real beginners.If you’re new to guitar, especially electric guitar, be careful. This app can easily lead you to make mistakes that damage your instrument. I expected helpful guidance, but instead I got a broken string and a terrible first experience. Completely unacceptable for a paid learning app. I would not recommend this to beginners at all unless they seriously improve their tuning instructions

Potential but sound issue

This app is so frustrating, because mainly it is really good and informative but there is an issue with the app recognising the notes. At first I noticed that when I was tuning, the app wouldn’t recognise the note, and I would need to keep picking it before I could tune it, which was just a minor issue considering all the other qualities of this app . Fast forward to the section where I’m learning the Am and C chord and this issue is beyond ridiculous! At first I thought it was me not playing correctly, as I am a beginner, so could be possible. However, I have spent two days on this section and it keeps telling me I’m incorrect and sending me back to the start. Even when I’m playing the open note! How is that possible? I even got my boyfriend to try it and he’s been playing in a band for years and it was doing the same to him, so I know it’s the app that has the issue. I’ve seen in other reviews that people have the same problem, I have tried all recommended techniques, taking off phone case, sitting in quiet room etc, but doesn’t help.As I said so frustrating as initially I felt this was the best app I had come across for learning guitar but this issue is really holding it back in my opinion. Shame when the rest of the app has so much potential.
