Good idea poor execution

I support the principle of this dating app the aim to get people to actually meet up rather than constantly chatting but never actually go on dates. However the functionality of the app is great lacking. You have no control over where the dates are planned. You only get told 24 hours in advance but if you cancel at this point because the venue is inaccessible to you on the other side of your city than penalised. They should introduce not just your location but the area in your city you’re willing to meet up for dates. The cancellation policy is also crazy as soon as you match your committed basically to go on a date or lose your prepayment however, the date can be set for through for or even more weeks in advance which ones I’ve lost interest. They’re very quick to make you pay in advance for your token even when nothing has been arranged or booked, and then if you cancel, they take that away which is such an obvious cash grab. They may their money I’m making people pay for dates that they then cancel rather than anyone actually going on a date. The prompt of messaging also feel very manipulative and kind of creepy.

You can always reach out to our support team in the app to ask for a different venue. As long as we have something available, we’ll do our best to help. Our new cancellation policy was introduced to address a rising trend of endless rescheduling and no-shows, which undermined the experience for everyone involved. It’s designed to create fairness and reliability, not to penalize genuine users. However, we understand it won’t fit every situation, and we’ll take your feedback into account as we continue refining it. We’re also actively exploring ways to let users set more precise location preferences. Your suggestion to specify areas within a city is a helpful one, and we'll add it to our development discussions. Thanks again for taking the time to share, we genuinely value it.

Not sure why I was surprised by this, but it turns out a dating app where you don’t have to chat beforehand is a lovely safe haven for people with zero chat. I’ve been on 5 or 6 dates now and have never once had a conversation that didn’t feel like pulling teeth. I can count on one hand how many questions TOTAL I’ve been asked on Breeze dates — they just wait for me to ask them something, monologue for a bit, and then wait for me to ask the next question.Soo many of the matches I’ve made on Hinge and Bumble have been funny, charismatic people who have become some of my best friends after we decided were weren’t compatible datingwise — because by the time we met in person, I already knew we’d have at least a crumb of chemistry. With Breeze, you just have to cross your fingers and pray you won’t have wasted an evening experiencing the flirting equivalent of watching paint dry. It makes total sense that people who have struck out on Hinge and Bumble (which require at least SOME conversation) would flock to Breeze, where they don’t need to risk exposing themselves as the human equivalent of stale unbuttered toast — at least until after you've literally paid money to sit in a room with them.I was excited by the promising concept, but it’s turned out to be less of a curated pool of motivated serious daters, and more like a nature preserve for god’s least charismatic people. If you have no chat, or want to date someone with no chat, this is absolutely the app for you.

Very poorly thought idea overall. Providing people with a last minute generic location to meet only 24 hours prior to the date doesn’t encourage safe, planned dating especially for women who don’t feel safe enough in being spontaneous. We also cannot assess a man’s generosity, willingness and aptitude to make a plan because the 4 hour window prior to the date doesn’t give us enough security to trust the date has been planned well. Spontaneous last minute dates don’t work for most women. Having at least one text conversation with someone also assures us of their level of communication and command of the language - that’s the bare minimum requirement even at a work setting. Meeting up with a stranger man out of the blue without being able to assess his personality or consistency of communication or reliability is dangerous in the worst case for us, and not respectful of our time, especially since profiles aren’t even that well curated and don’t differ too much from other dating apps. Also if Breeze doesn’t plan the date or book the table, what am I paying for? Just finding the person and skipping to the date part? A date well planned is a way to find out if a man is worth it. On top of this, we get very limited matches and don’t get to select by any set of languages outside the romantic ones, it’s not really multicultural at all. Sorry for the long message but really hoping you guys reevaluate your strategy so you don’t end up accidentally targeting a very niche category and ignoring everyone else you claim to be inclusive towards.

Warning ⚠️ this is one of the worst dating apps there are, they send you to cheap tacky venues like Pubs, then the only drinks that they say you get as complimentary are cheap beer or cheap house red or white wine, they force you into paying for a date when you have a legitimate reason that you can’t make the date because of work reasons because they want to make money from you, then they freeze your account for two days and you can’t use it, then allot of dates cancel anyway, also you can’t speak to your date match before you meet as they don’t let you so you could travel all that way to meet them and you don’t even get on well because you haven’t had the chance to talk before hand and see if you get on or not before you meet, it’s a stupid idea and wastes your valuable time, Bumble and Hinge are way Better dating sites because your able to match and talk to your dates before you meet and they don’t ask you to pay for each date you meet that you probably won’t even get on well with This is a cheap tacky site and they force you into paying for dates I would advise anyone not to use this site it’s not worth the money you have to pay £9.50 each person you want to meet on there think about how much money you are spending on someone you may not even like like it’s not worth it, it’s a con and they know they are conning you, Bumble and Hinge are way Better dating sites because you can match and speak to your dates before you meet and as many as you want they don’t force you to pay I strongly advise anyone don’t waste your money on a tacky badly run site like this they are a con
