I have played with Lego for as long as I can remember and had many years of fun with Lego but the one thing that frustrated my mum was losing all the instructions for my kits. Even tho the kits was simple back then as mainly it was just bricks not the fancy parts we have today it was still frustrating to lose the manuals as those kits couldn’t be built again (Unless you are a master builder who could remember how to rebuild them from memory) so ended up with a pile of Lego which still suited me as I built from memory and my own creations. Yet still if I had this when I was younger I think my mum would have bought me more because losing the manuals wouldn’t have been an issue so I believe this is absolutely brilliant for kids and parents as you can view past instructions that have been long discontinued but still available and with the newer releases too. And if you don’t have the space to store all the boxes or manuals then again having the instructions on this site is a perfect way to keep them all in one tidy neat place for when or if you need to look up missing part numbers or simply want to brave that massive pile of Lego you kids gave up on because they lost or ruined the manuals. So go and “play well” is a good excuse for a 43 old dad to be a kid again.
Absolute game changer

My son purchased me my very first Lego kit for my birthday (I am 52). He recommended I download the Lego builder app as he said it takes you through each stage with clear graphics etc. I have to say, it made building my kit a real pleasure to do. The app was incredibly clear to follow and I don’t think I would have been so relaxed simply following the manual (you should see me try to figure out and build flat pack furniture). There was absolutely no swearing involved in the making of my model 😁😁It has inspired me to choose some other models to make. Had I known it was so easy I would have treated myself years ago!
Good for today but not for yesterday too many missing sets

Thought I’d download this, this app only has today’s sets not ALL sets. Try searching shell service station 377, you won’t find it. Thought it would be useful to have all set instructions in but impossible only recent sets. Going to Lego website and downloading the instructions is a lot simpler. Or going to Rebrickable or other websites like Toys Period etc to find pdfs. Better yet just PDF the instructions yourself from your paper ones and then save them to a cloud server or to iBooks etc, seems the only way to get all your sets in one place with inventory and instructions. Sad as this sounded like a good idea. Very disappointed. After all this is mean to be done by LEGO and they have all the instructions for everything so they have access to them all. LEGO spans generations, sets from previous generations are still in the go today, so include them don’t abandon them include them in instructions, include them in owned sets on the LEGO account etc, after all the generations past are what made LEGO,what it is today, along with Bricklink lol helping to fuel the passion for LEGO. LEGO,need to embrass the sets from all eras and include them.
Why doesn’t it save where i left?

Great app to use as much easier to read instructions and zoom in etc. although a bit too sensitive when trying to zoom and it skips to the next page. Also why cant the pages automatically fill the screen. Would make sense to see more when in landscape but pretty much no point…..also most annoying thing is when you come off the current set your building when you go back to it its a couple of pages or more back from where you left off? This isn’t me hard closing the app. Thats even if i use the back to main menu arrow…..and since update its slower to load up the instructions. Still love it and will continue to use rather then have paper instructions but it needs sorting.Update 25/09Now have latest version and it remembers where i last left off. Still need to sort the landscape issue so its easier to see instructions and zooming in needs work too but its getting there!
