Airplay via apple is what I use as unfortunately (because the content on Sonos radio is good) for a expensive high end product like this this app is applying. Speakers seem to randomly appear and disappear (whilst always being visible is you look with AirPlay!?!?) and I have been trying to rename one of my speakers for about 10 months and another for over a year. It is a extremely short sited thing for Sonos to do, make very good wireless speakers and then release an app that your lucky if you can connect to. The same happens on my wife’s phone and all other instillation I have of the app. 0stars for the app 1 for the content Sonos radio is bad I just never listen because the app is if your lucky it is slow and clunky and if your unlucky not working at all. Please Sonos could you sort this pigs ear of an app out so I can use all the features of my speakers properly.I have 9 Sonos speakers they are great BUT PLEASE SORT THE APP OUT IT IS UNUSABLE if it was not for AirPlay allowing me to connect to them I would have sold them. The “new” app that I have been using for age since it release is worse. Please it must be in your own interest to do this as a co look at the App Store reviews that are not reviews for ur speakers all talk about the same stability and connectivity problems.
The best sound system for the price!

I have been using Sonos for over 10 years now. This is how I fell in love with it, I was looking for a powerful sound system for my home about 10 years ago so I walked into curry’s in the UK after visiting the shop for more than 15 times on different days due to not being sure of what to get. On the faithful day when I decided to get the play 5 for my bedroom, Sonos sub, the play bar, a couple of play 1s for my living room, I was at the far end of the shop discussing my options with on of the shop attendants and I heard a very powerful clean sound from the other end of the shop and I told myself if that’s the Sonos, I’m going home with it, and it was the Sonos. Unfortunately they didn’t have everything in stock at the Northampton riverside branch, I got what I could from there and asked them to reserve the rest at the Peterborough shop, I drove straight from Northampton to Peterborough to collect the rest the same day and I have never regretted my decision. The number of friends who have joined the Sonos family after a visit to my house are uncountable, and I always helped in settling it up for them. I show it off all the time I play songs that will really make it shine like august town! I’m a DJ and music person, I don’t know any home system that would be so versatile and sound better than this. In future, I want to be an agent and a distributor in west Africa! Sonos is the best!

I bought the Sonos beam to replace a five year old sound bar with sub in a small second lounge size 15ft x 15ft. The beam was very simple to set up. I think the shape and build quality would look the part in any setting. After watching the TV for one evening I was very pleased with the item, the price paid was £399 which I think is a very fair price. The following day I tried out the Sonos radio and was impressed with the sound quality. I decided to buy a pair of small SL speakers to compliment the sound directly from Sonos. The service was fast next day delivery. Again these two speakers were so simple to connect and made a further improvement to the sound. What has impressed me about Sonos equipment is it has a sound that is clear and impressive with lots of detail. It’s a sound that overall gives anyone who appreciates music or desires realism in sound from say a film an easy path to follow to achieve that objective without having to mess about forever buying expensive cables or trying to match stuff up. It’s so wife friendly too. The app is a breeze to use as well. I’ve just turned 69 years and was worried about being too old to learn about new tech. I also didn’t want to sell my beloved high end Hi Fi. Some weeks have gone by now and I am so pleased with the new Sonos stuff I bought. It’s cleared away all the cables and big amps etc. My lounge is looking tidy, wife’s happy. I’m going to buy more Sonos for our children’s homes as Christmas gifts this year. In short I’m one very happy customer. Rob Grant Poole Dorset.

Since your “update” on 7th May the app has become unusable. Where has my music library disappeared to? It’s there one minute and gone the next. I don’t use streaming services, all my music is on my Mac and for the last ten years or so has been very easy to access via Sonos. If I could go back to the previous version I wouldn’t hesitate. Why try to fix something that wasn’t broken? My apps always auto-update but this is one update I would not wish on anyone. Please fix it - I see a lot of people are complaining. Try SonoPad or SonoPhone, at least they work.Yet another “update” and still I have no music to listen to. Really Sonos, this has gone beyond a joke. I have invested a lot of money in your once excellent speakers but since the beginning of May I have had nothing to listen to. My crime? Having all my music stored on my Mac where it has always been. Will I ever be able to listen to it again on my Sonos speakers or should I bin the lot and invest in Bose? Finally, after nearly 10 months, I am able to listen to music again albeit through Apple Music rather than my Music Library. Not sure everything is available but I’m reasonably happy with it at the moment. The return of the Music Library feature would be the icing on the cake. How difficult can it be to reinstate something which we’ve used in the past? I’ve tried all the suggestions but none of them work. When I first set it up all those years ago I had no problem whatsoever and nothing has changed this end. Maybe the new CEO will listen to his customers.
New app features.
