"I've tried close to 20 productivity apps. This is the one I've been looking for." - rcghaseler
HOW IT WORKS
Open Bullet, tap +, and capture whatever's on your mind. A task for later, a note to remember, an event coming up, a habit to build. Everything lives on one timeline - organized by day, week, month, or year.
Schedule entries, set reminders, add sub-tasks, group things into collections, and tag across projects. It's as simple or structured as you need it to be.
DAILY LOG, FUTURE LOG, MIGRATION
Rapid logging. A Daily Log for today, Weekly and Monthly Logs for planning ahead, and a Future Log for someday. Migration. Collections. If you keep this system in a paper notebook, you'll feel at home in minutes. If you don't, you'll pick it up just as fast - it's simply a quick way to capture and organize your thoughts.
Everything the paper system does, without the limitations. Search your entries. Sync across devices. Set reminders. Work offline.

I’ve been into paper journaling (I’ve got a thing Midory paper and fountain pens) for well over 20 years, and Bujo since Ryder Carol dropped his minimalist master piece. But analogue writing has always been, well, a little too frictional for me to base my daily productivity on. I have tried to digitally replicate the essence of Bujo for years. Jumping from Notion to Trello to Tana them back again. Then I stumbled into Bullet. And it was like miracle has landed at my feet. Bullet offers everything I have tried to create myself from a digital bullet journal app. It’s like the developer, Hamish, who is genuinely a lovely lad, had been over my shoulder the past 6 years taking notes on exactly the type of digital bullet journal app I need. It is uncanny and nearly perfect. It’s offers a beautiful digital bullet journal experience while offering all the modern convenience of a digital app. From migrating task, to seeing overdue task. From comprehensive repeating tasks, to exporting entire filtered lists. Tags and searches and sync with digital calendars. It has everything I need. I can’t wait to see where Hamish takes this app. Thank you so much for creating this.
Bullet changed my life!

I have been using the bullet app for years now, and can honestly say it changed my life! I have ADHD, diagnosed later in life, after I’d spent many years not being able to organise myself, missing appointments and deadlines and messing up finances. The bullet app has helped me train myself to keep constant lists of things that need done, so I hardly ever forget anything now! The widget means I can have it on the home screen of my phone, so every time I open my phone I can see the things I need to do that day. The repeat function means that I remember to put the bin out every week, and to cancel subscriptions that I no longer need. If I’ve ever had a problem with the app (like widget not updating) I email and get a pretty much instant reply on how to fix my problem, customer service is like no other!I cannot thank the creator enough for this app, it’s honestly made my life so much better and easier (with a bit of me training myself too) and I don’t know what I would do without it now. Ceud mìle taing Hamish!
Great idea, mediocre impelementation

I use this app every day, multiple times a day, it’s my only planning tool. I feel like every time updates are pushed through, some features take a step forward, whilst core functionally takes a step back. e.g. recently the look and feel of the app had a massive revamp, but then some basic functionality disappeared, e.g. the ability to go back (after clicking into a task for example) to the previous view; the ability to arrange tasks when in week view - sometimes it works other times you can only move a task to a day without organising the day when in week view. Taking a step back, other builds I would like to see considered: better use of white space, the app is optimised for mobile, but productivity happens on larger screens where the app is approx. 40% white empty space; Being able to review and re-assign incomplete tasks at the end of a week or month - with the ability to easily drag and drop incomplete tasks to a given day over the next week or two (when using a larger screen) rather than having to open every task, and then having to cherry pick a day from a calendar.
A great digital alternative to a notebook
Sfreear
Having tried bullet journaling in a notebook a few times, I eventually stopped because I didn’t carry my note book with me all the time. I looked at doing it in apps like GoodNotes, but its too small and fiddly on a phone. This app has proved to be an excellent digital alternative. It has a minimal, clean aesthetic which I like. It does what I need without being complicated or trying to do too much. You still get a daily log showing tasks, events, notes and a link to the daily habit tracker. Also weekly, monthly and annual future logs with one side showing dates and the other side for undated items. The index pages are replaced by tags and lists to keep things together. A much easier way of working. Migration is very simple with drag and drop or changing the date for an item.Collections are very flexible as they can contain tags and sub lists. Markdown can be used for some formatting and photos can be added.I had cancelled all my subscriptions as I was doing what I needed with Apple apps. This is the first app I have purchased since then.
- Instant response: completing and rescheduling tasks updates your lists immediately
- Faster local database (one-time re-sync on first launch)
- Dashboard settings now sync across devices
- Stability fixes, including the most common iOS crash
Thanks for using Bullet! Keep your feedback coming.
