I’m a huge fan of Dr Rupy, I regularly listen to his podcasts and have all his cook books. When I heard he had an app I just had to try it… even though I’m usually a book kinda gal. I’m so impressed! It’s so user friendly! I LOVE the search feature, I can literally just type in an ingredient I want to use… and it comes up with loads of recipe options using that ingredient. In a few minutes I’ve managed to make a collection of recipes that will clean out my fridge and pantry! I also LOVE the huge list of dish categories… my non cook husband was excited to see the “Bowl food” category and also that all the recipes are done in step by step with photos of each stage. This is what my husband needs as an inexperienced cook, and is why he usually likes using Hello Fresh recipe cards (but we have been disappointed in the quality of the produce), so will be happy to use this ap instead. Well done Rupy, I can see so much effort and thought has gone into the app and can’t wait to see how it expands over the future. Thank you for creating this for us. I highly recommend it - The subscription is more than worth the money for me, as it’s already saved me more by not wasting food that I haven’t known what to do with.

I’ve followed Dr Rupy on Instagram for ages and was NOT disappointed by this amazing app. It’s chocked full of amazing content and loads and loads of delicious looking recipes to help me stay on track with all my health and wellness goals for 2022. It has some amazing features like a VERY extensive list of ingredients where you can flag allergens and dislikes and then the app only shows you recipes that suit your tastes, or you can choose to see them all as each recipe has a section that shows great substitution ideas (ie leak for onion, cabbage for sprouts etc). In my opinion the best bit is that you can scale each recipe based on how many people you’re cooking for and it will automatically change the quantities to suit. I have a busy household and often entertain so this takes away all the guesswork and makes it so easy to adapt my recipes. So good, especially for the mathematically challenged like me! I urge everyone to download this app! I can’t wait to start cooking!!

I love this app, it’s a game changer for me. The fact that the recipes already align with my whole food, plant based eating preferences is fabulous. They are all in one app, as opposed to other apps that you have to trawl through to find recipes that are suitable for your eating requirements. The fact that you can enter your ingredient likes and dislikes, then click a few buttons and have it create a recipe plan for the week, then add the required ingredients to a shopping list for you is an absolute godsend for me and worth the subscription fee all day long. I love cooking nourishing, healthy food from scratch but struggle with thinking ahead about what to cook. This app literally is the answer to my problem, and everything I’ve cooked so far has been simple and delicious. A couple of suggestions I would personally find useful when using the meal planner function would be the ability to swap say Mondays lunch with Wednesdays dinner depending on time constraints etc. I know it’s no big deal to do this mentally, but it would be a nice tweak to make. Also, if you weren’t keen on one or two of the suggested meals, being able to just delete those dishes then click update and it selects suitable dishes to replace them would be great. I’m being picky, as this really is already a brilliant app, but for me those tweaks would make it perfect. Thank you Dr. Rupy and the team for making healthy eating simple and accessible, and for the information you put out there to help people help themselves to a better life.

I’ve followed the Doctor’s Kitchen for a really long time through Dr Rupy’s books and podcast. I have always really appreciated the evidence-based yet pragmatic approach to health and nutrition. This app continues that trend wonderfully. There are only pros I’ve found so far - The recipes I’ve cooked so far have been really tasty and have got emphatic compliments from my husband - even ones that include beans which he usually doesn’t like. The recipes so far have all been really approachable and using items that I tend to have in my pantry anyway, which makes choosing something on a whim so much easier. They’ve generally been pretty quick too which is great - usually recipes online take me like an hour! It’s easy to search by ingredient or category. I also really like that it has little notes like ‘store bought okay’ eg next to hummus or notes when tinned or frozen ingredients work too. I love cooking something really tasty and feeling confident that it’s kind of had a ‘stamp of approval’ as it were from someone who knows a huge amount about nutrition. I appreciate the little blurbs about the benefits of each recipe - kind of adds a little feeling of reward when I eat it. Finally, the app design itself is really clear, attractive and user friendly. The pictures are lovely, and I really like how the suggestions on the homepage cycle through breakfasts, lunches and dinners when you open the app at different times of day which is good for finding ideas. I think Dr Rupy is planning on adding more health categories which will be great. Can I suggest categories for pregnancy, fertility and hormone balancing some day? Thank you for this! It’s fantastic.
