I’ve played this game consistently for 5 months, so I’m writing this with a fair amount of experience. To start the negatives are the games card acquisition is slow to say the least, you’re met with an addictive and high paced card game which in turn gives out barely anything. It’s clear to say that second dinner really care about our money. To have even a slow grind you will have to buy the battle pass as the cheapest option, it’s the best choice and is actually worth it in terms of what you get, I did it and within 5 months I completed series 3 and the majority of the rest. It’s tough for ftp players I’ll be honest. Also don’t think there’s any social aspect about this game at the time of writing this which is a shame. But if you can get past that there is nothing but positives, the game is actively worked on, cards are reworked consistently, the game is aesthetically pleasing, mechanics and in game materials constantly developed and honestly became one of if not my favourite games at the moment. It’s an amazing card game which is pretty faced paced, easy to understand but hard to master, and if you ever liked collecting cards from whatever genre and have an interest in marvel this is the perfect game for you. It deserves some money for what they’ve put into it but at the same time prices for in game currencies need to be looked at and tweaked to say the least. If your coming into this a ftp player don’t be disheartened at the start it gets better even if you don’t put money into the game. They have made ways to get card acquisition although not the most accessible it is a lil grind. But for me this game deserves a 5* rating

A slick card-battler, well implemented with quick matches. The depth of the roster is impressive and you only need a little patience to get your hands on all the cards. You can buy a season pass each month (around £9 in local currency; not a recurring transaction so you can purchase once without worrying about cancelling a subscription) which will give you the featured card on launch day plus a few minor cosmetic extras and a little additional currency, but the game stacks up even without that. No cards are locked behind a paywall. As cards get older, they drop down a ranked-scale making them easier and quicker to acquire without any need to spend money. You can buy extra currency if you want to speed up the process but the game is great either way. Devs often get a hard time for in-game purchases but this game is free to download and has zero adverts. For those who want to spend a bit of cash to support the game, there are options to suit every budget. For those who don’t want to spend, just bide your time. 100% recommended.
Excellent gameplay if you’re willing to grind a bit

The game is a fresh take on the most points win card game genre. If you’ve played gwent you’ll easily move into snap. The art and card design are great. The matches are fluid and the overall feel of the game is extremely polished, probably one of the best feeling games out there.Should be noted that if you’re a f2p player you’ll have to play for a while before you’ll be able to play with most of the collection. The game isn’t p2w because you will eventually get all the collection (minus the newest cards) and as your collection progresses into series 2 you’ll easily create an infinite viable deck so long as you understand the meta, cube management and knowing when to retreat. Without a reasonable understanding of these concepts no player; regardless of collection size, can climb to infinite. The only improvements I can add is to make the in game wallpapers fill the screen, as on the iPhone 14 pro max some screens leave a black bar at the top. Also adding cosmetic boards would be nice, I’m getting tired of playing on a big space rock.
It’s okay

It’s an okay game - the mechanics of the matches works really well. What isn’t so great is the rest of the mechanics of the back end system. Quests are dull and boring - play x power cards, win x matches, win with one hero at a location etc. There is very littler variety for this. Progression of your roster is based on upgrading your cards; this is not to hard to do but from what I can see is that the cards you are awarded are not random, but they are preselected. This is based upon the people you fight against always seeming to only have cards you have seen; whether or not the game matches you to someone of your own progression level i do not know; if it is the case then it goes to show the cards are not random rewards. You can pay a reasonable price for season passes and extra characters; but from what I can see, this is a game of skill and luck rather than a pay-to-win game which is a blessing. Chapter missions are just as dull as the normal quests, but for some reasons the game likes to lock the quests for a few days with a count down before they are released ; like trying to drag the story (which does not exist) out for a who month - I really don’t know the point of this. Character variants have no different abilities to the vanilla cards. So you’ll be paying money for a different graphic; it does not affect game play, so I do not see the point. The boredom of the quests hardly makes we want to play more. When I have completed my current quests and a main quests says unlocked in 2 days; then fine, I’ll stop playing until then. There is a cap on credits you can have; but then you don’t want to spend because you know there will be a main quest that says “upgrade x cards”. Just something to consider. But to recap that matches are fun, the rest needs a revamp.
