My expectations are that ‘no’ transcription Apps would be 100% accurate, and that’s true for Aiko. However, the accuracy exceeded my expectations and overall I think this is an excellent App. It would be very useful if the software could recognise different voices and insert Speaker 1 / Speaker 2 / etc prior to each piece of transcription. It would also be useful if it used more line breaks, as it tends to produce large amounts of block text. Maybe additional features such as this will be added over time. Regardless, this App has been incredibly useful and a big time-saver.

The guy behind this app, Sindre, is brilliant. I don’t know him at all, but he’s made this entire app, 100% free, just to allow other people to use Whisper easily. Not only that, but he’s even made shortcuts you can download to use with the shortcut iOS and macOS app for Aiko to be even more useful. He’s got a comprehensive guide of everything on his website. So not only he’s done this awesome app, but also went the extra mile with everything on the website. Mate!! You’re brilliant Sindre, thank you so much.

This is a superb app. I have been using it to transcript webinars and recorded videos of meetings from iPhones. The .srt files created seem to work fine and I have been using Handbrkae to add them to the final conveted videos.There are a few errors, but these are usually real names or technical details, easy to edit the .srt file to fix them. A 'search & replace' works well as most errors are consistent. All in all - a life saver!

This app has totally exceeded my expectations: I fed into it audio files in which I was murmuring and mumbling while half asleep, and while I was groggy, while I was going for a walk and recording my thoughts, while I was playing my guitar - and each time the app produced a near-perfect transcription.My only worry is that it is so good that it will be removed once Microsoft has got its act fully together.
