Trusted by 31 million people and backed by the largest verified UK food database of any calorie tracker - over 2 million items including UK brands, grocery products, and nutrition labels. Named the top weight loss app by Forbes Health (2025). Highest-rated by the American Journal of Preventive Medicine. The New York Times called it simpler, quicker, and better-looking than the competition. Featured in Today's Dietitian, alongside WW and Noom.
WHY PEOPLE SWITCH
Our food database has over 2 million staff-verified items with up to 108 nutrients. That matters because most apps rely on crowdsourced data full of duplicates and errors.
We're also fast. We logged the same 127 foods in every major app over a week. MyNetDiary took 31% fewer taps than the most popular calorie tracker. Less time logging means you actually keep doing it.
The free version is generous: barcode scanning, macro and 108 nutrient tracking, food diary, calorie calculator, and progress charts. No ads, no paywall tricks.
Active members lose an average of 1.4 lb per week, according to the MyNetDiary Efficacy Report.
Many switched from other diet and nutrition apps.

I’ve never wanted to use an app to help in my weight loss journey as it’s so much flaffing about! However I came across this app and it’s so easy to use, either by scanning bar codes or searching for foods (easily) I’ve been using it for a year and it’s been brilliant and has definitely helped me to track my calories, fats, carbs, and proteins. I love the ease of adjusting targets and calorie budget. I’m only using the free version and it’s got so many features giving you the chance to try it out before deciding if you want to upgrade to premium. The only slight downside is that the foods listed tend to be American options however that said most foods have a ‘generic’ option and you can easily weigh in grams to get exact weights and calories. Once you’ve scanned and added favourites it’s so quick to add them again for further meals. I can honestly say I’ve found this super helpful and have not missed any food logging as it’s so quick and easy, and it’s certainly helped me to be accountable. I’ve introduced this to a friend who is such a technophobe and even she can use it and it’s helped her loose a stone so far too! I’ve loved the graph that shows you the loss and the automatic adjustment of calories is you haven’t lost or you have gained. Brilliant!

it’s OKAY… but it could use some updates

i’ve only been using this app since november (it’s january now) and there’s some cons about it, the biggest one being the calories. when i first started out it said my recommended calorie amount 1300 something. which was perfectly fine. then as i was progressing it started getting smaller, which was annoying me as i would be starving by during the day which wasn’t fun. ans now it’s saying i should only be eating around 800 calories a day, that is not enough. for anyone, that is literally not enough, i also work out for like forty minutes and it still says i should be eating around 800 a day so i’m not just lazy, it’s borderline promoting eating disorders and it’s not okay, apart from that it is a good app, if you gpay for the plus thing or whatever i’m pretty sure you can get tips on what to do, it can also give you meals to make and whatnot, i don’t really like how it doesn’t change when you reach your goal, i though if i change my goal it would let me eat more calories (obviously i’m still eating more calories than what this app tells me to i just wanted to see if it would change) and it didn’t, maybe it does but it was too difficult for me. this isn’t so much as a problem but something that bugs me is they show WHEN you had your water, like what time you log it at and sometimes i forgot to log it and it says i’ve had two bottles at 1 A.M and it’s a bit annoying but not something that has to be changed, apart from the cons, it is a good app.
Fun way to lose Fat!

Having recently retired and not getting the natural exercise my working day entailed, I started putting on weight. I had always been half a stone over my BMI and when this got to a stone, enough was enough! I read about various apps and this one was the one that appealed... absolutely brilliant! You can eat whatever you want providing its within your 'budget'. Going over some days is catered for and the app adjusts your targets accordingly to keep you on track. It's fun to use, very supportive and gives regular updates on progress. Don't bother using exercise to 'make up' excessive calories... the app is far too generous in its allowance! Rather, stick to the weekly calorie count (go over some days but pull it back on others), and treat exercise as a consolidation of your target weight loss and you'll be fine. I'm only using the free app as I don't need the 'full fat' (sorry!) version. The writers ought to charge (£6.99!) for this app from the start. It would be well worth it, and anyone not willing to pay isn't serious about losing weight anyway. More costs could be factored in as the app goes from, say, Standard (£6.99), through Upgraded (an additional £3.99) to Deluxe (by monthly or annual subscription).
Great but would like a few more features added

So it shows you how many calories you have consumed via an apple outline that slowly fills in as you log more food. Next to this it shows how many calories per meal, breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks and how much exercise and water. What I would really like is a meal section for drinks, not just water, so it then tracks the number of calories I consume via drinks so I can see if it’s too many or too sugary, but I can also see if I have drunk enough. I know I can track water but that doesn’t allow for water with sugar free cordial or such so I then have to record the cordial separately and then I’m order to see how many drinks I have had, I need to check under each meal, breakfast, lunch etc. I want a total drinks count without having to search even if it’s a measure rather than count, eg ml.I would also like to be able to track my fasting, but not like a lot of calorie apps do it where they just say now you should be fasting, now you should be eating. I want to actually be able to press a button to say I have started fasting and I have stopped fasting so it actually records the actual amount of time fasting.
Bug Fixes and Improvements! We've tackled several bugs and polished the app for a smoother, more reliable experience.
Happy tracking and stay healthy!
Thank you for updating the app.
Always yours,
