Build HIIT, Tabata, EMOM and circuit timers, then train with your eyes off the screen. Voice cues, your own music, Apple Watch. Featured by Apple.
Seconds is an interval timer for HIIT, Tabata, EMOM, circuits and any workout built from timed intervals. It calls each interval out loud, keeps running with the screen off, and runs on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.
Apple has featured it, and Joe Wicks, The Body Coach, has said it is the fitness app he uses more than any other.
BUILD ANY WORKOUT
- Start from a HIIT, Tabata or circuit template, or build a timer from scratch with sets, rounds and intervals of different lengths.
- Chain timers into one compound timer, so a warm-up flows into the main set and then a cool-down.
- Color-code every interval so you know what is coming before the beep.
- Share a timer with a friend in one tap.
HEAR IT, DON'T WATCH IT
- Voice cues call out each interval by name and warn you before the next one starts.
- Beeps and bells are there too if you would rather not be talked at.
- Play your own music, per timer or per interval. Cues duck the music and it comes back up when they are done.
- The timer keeps going in the background while you use other apps or the screen sleeps.
ON THE GYM FLOOR
- A full-screen, color-coded display you can read from across the room, in portrait or landscape. On iPad it uses the whole screen.
- A lock button stops a stray tap from pausing your set.
APPLE WATCH
- Seconds runs on the watch by itself, so the phone can stay in the locker. Timers you build on the phone sync to the wrist, and Quick Intervals builds a basic circuit on the watch itself.
MORE TIMERS
- A stopwatch that marks your best and worst laps.
- A countdown timer with five preset durations (three on Apple Watch).
APPLE HEALTH
- Save workouts and mindful sessions to Health. With a heart rate monitor connected, Seconds reads your body measurements and year of birth from Health to estimate calories burned.
FREE TO TRY, ONE PAYMENT TO UNLOCK
- Everything is available from the first launch. Build any timer and run it.
- Each timer locks after you run it once. A single in-app purchase removes the lock on every timer you make.
SECONDS AND SECONDS PRO
- Seconds Pro is the same app, paid once up front, with nothing to unlock. The two are separate products and a purchase in one does not carry over to the other. If you bought Seconds Pro, download Seconds Pro. If you bought the unlock in Seconds, download Seconds and use Restore Purchases.
I love this app! I’ve used it for some time now and I love the fact there are customisable timers so I can adapt what’s there, use the pre planned ones or create my own. I did upgrade to the full package but it’s been worth every penny. I can use it with my music. You can even set tracks to certain exercises if you wish or set up your fav playlist and go for it. It has a huge screen to see the count down timer and a choice of beeps or voices to count you down, tell you what exercise is next etc. It even shows you what’s up next in the corner. I love that the colours are changeable so I always set my rest time to grey/black for example that way even when I’m knackered I see grey I know it’s a rest! Thanks guys you I’ve tried loads of apps and yours after at least 2yrs is the only one I use at least 3x per week that says it all really. Don’t look any further this has it all and if it doesn’t they think of it before you do!
Best Timer App on the Market!!!

I have been using Seconds Pro for over a year now and I have never used an App with so much diversity of choices and options. At first it can seem quite tricky to set up your own workouts but once you get the hang of it it stand way above any other App of its kind out there. As a personal trainer I can write workouts prior to seeing my clients and then just let the App do it’s thing whilst leaving me more time to focus and motivate on my client. The one thing I would like is the metronome option to be applied to the Apple Watch (as a vibration) as this can aid in pacing throughout the workout. This App is fantastic for those that want to take their workout quality to the next level and also for any trainers or sports coaches that want an easy and effective way to work with their clients or athletes.
Love this app!

I started using it after my weekly interval training sessions with a group of ladies. Once a week was not enough so I created a circuit on the app using the exercises from each workout. I could then repeat the workouts in the comfort of my own home, even while watching TV. It was like having a trainer in the room to prompt me. Recently, I’ve entered walking workouts from the Prevention “Walk off Weight” book. In ‘name of exercise’ I put in a speed. The book might state 3-5intensity for a warmup so I named it ‘5kph’, then 1minute at 5-6intensity - I named that ‘6.5kph’. It’s great, I can quickly punch in the change of speed on my treadmill when prompted. I love having the verbal timer. Works beautifully for my 5 minute cool down stretch as well!!👍
Disappointed.

I bought this as it appears to have AppleWatch integration. . What I was expecting was to open the app on my phone, start a timer and that timer is mirrored on my Apple watch and the heart rate monitor on the watch feeds in to the app. When it’s time to move to the next exercise I get a count down which is audible over the music I’m listening to on my headphones. This is not the case. The watch heart rate monitor only works if you start the app from the watch. You can’t select the watch as a heart rate monitor from the app on the phone. If you run the app from the watch and want to listen to music on your phone while you work out there is no audio announcements to tell you to move to the next exercise. I use another app called strong and it does all of the above. I have contacted the developer for guidance and if this app can’t do the above then I will be requesting a refund.
25.0
No new features this time. This release is maintenance work behind the scenes, and everything works exactly as it did before.
25.1
Creating an account with Google, and signing in with one, work again in the free app.
25.2
The tabs at the bottom of the screen no longer disappear after you edit a timer.
25.3
Apple Watch now fetches your timers and settings from iPhone. Request Sync is at the top of the watch's Settings, and My Timers fetches them the first time you open it. Sync Timers Now has gone from the Apple Watch settings on iPhone.
25.4
Apple Watch now keeps time more precisely than ever, so every interval lands right on the second however long the timer runs.
