I find the app constantly half a second too slow for my liking. This has the cumulative effect of making me slightly more frustrated over time as I'm using the app.Slowness most noticeable with the delay in (or simply broken) notifications. When I see a red notification icon on the app logo, I find the fastest way to check the new update is to hard close the app and re-open, as this prompts the notifications to actually pick up the new message. It's also not a 100% success rate - sometimes I need to do this several times before the update is picked up. This has frustrated me when I've actually been reading the thread at the time, I know someone has added a comment, but it won't show up on my screen, even with a drag-refresh.Slowness also noticeable when changing channels, navigating to threads and switching workspaces.
Messages emailed to a channel timeout constantly

I have at least 20 messages that are emailed to Slack. I have to open the same message probably about ten times for it to load. I never used to have this problem. Nothing has changed on my side. My internet connection is very good and my WiFi signal is strong. Every morning I have the same thing, I go to my list of messages (17 in one channel) and I open the same message up to 10 times to read what it says. If the message does not load I have to go out from inside the message back to the channel. I can’t swipe through my messages anymore. If I am manage to view the message, I need to keep track of which message in the list of 17 I just read, because the next one is probably not going to load and Slack does not highlight which message I am on. It is really frustrating, something that should take me 5 minutes to do is taking 10-15 minutes because it is filled with page not found and a poor user experience.
Bring back the team who used to write the release updates

Nobody really loves updating apps. It’s a necessary evil, an unfortunate side-effect of a life reliant on tech.In the midst of the mundane list of ‘performance improvements and bug fixes’, one ray of light shone bright with each release: the slack update. I got in the habit of scrolling down the apps to be updated just in case slack was there. The genius mix of detailed information and excellent humour made the process of updating worth it every time. I knew what had been worked on and it brought a smile, and occasionally a chuckle, when I read it.What happened to the updates?Yeah, slack is brilliant and the development team are active in fixing things, obviously. But bring back the hilarious and canny individual or team who used to write the releases. It is possibly the best thing about slack!
Bug fixes
• If you created a custom filter in the Activity view to show only @mentions of your name, we were also displaying messages mentioning your keywords and user groups. Looks like there were some holes in that filter of ours. It's fixed now — don't mention it.
