In General the app is ok, but I have had some issues.I only want adhoc deliveries really, so have changed my subscription setting and cancelled individual deliveries to get the deliveries when I want them. But the app seems to fight against this, I've had cancelled deliveries reappear later. My chosen delivery day (Wed) has reverted back to Sun on more than one occasion. The dashboard page has shown different (incorrect) details of the next delivery, compared to what was shown on the deliveries page itself at the same time.One other annoyance is not being able to rate a meal without giving a reason. I just want to give a star rating so I know in future which are my favourites, but anything less than 5 stars forces you to choose a negative reason why (such as I didn't like the meal), which is not the case necessarily, it's just relative.

I’ve been using Frive since it was Lion’s Prep and probably for a year or so now. Overall I rate this service well. Have seen from some of the other reviews that people have had issues with deliveries but that’s likely more due to the courier than Frive themselves. Overall the meal quality has been consistent and I think I’ve only had one issue with a meal missing in a long time of use which by all accounts is very good. My only input on the constructive criticism side is they could try to revamp the menu a bit more effectively as I’ve seen the same meals for a long time now and some of them may be very popular so it wouldn’t make sense to get rid of them but seeing some more new recipes would be better and I personally think it would be better if they could put the sauce pots for the meals in their own separate box (not in the meal box) as this would allow for more sauce to be provided as sometimes it’s not enough for the meal depending on what it is, but the curry for example you need a lot of sauce for it not to just dry out on the food when cooking. The reward scheme is very good as well, allowing you to repeat the reward journey after sticking with them for long enough was generous and noticed!

It started off well I have been using them for 7 weeks now, and initially all of my meals were arriving on time and with no issues. Until last week, my order arrived and only 2 of my 5 meals where in the delivery, I contacted frive and they gave me £24 credit off my next delivery. Then this week delivery didnt arrive at all, I checked DPD and it said that because the goods are perishable they have had to dispose of it now, so I contacted frive and they have just given me £17 credit off my next order. I’m not impressed as I am disabled so it is very difficult for me to get to the shop, I have to wait until I have a PA who can drive me, and I don’t have the ability to cook for myself, and because I am allergic to wheat and dairy there arent any ready meals I can buy, so frive was perfect. But now they have messed up 2 weeks work of food, I am really hoping that the meals actually arrive next week because I really don’t want to cancel my subscription. The meals themselves are really good quality, its just a-shame the delivery and packing has issues
