StressWatch relies on your RHR (Resting Heart Rate) and HRV (Heart Rate Variability) data retrieved from Apple Health.
We'll analyze and interpret the data to determine your current stress levels. We constantly monitor your status and remind your immediately if your stress levels get too high so you can take action right away to help reduce your stress levels.
#How can StressWatch help you?
- When you work late into the night, StressWatch can remind you that your HRV is low and you're stressed - a gentle reminder to help you understand that it's time to get some rest.
- When you're at a social event and you have to force yourself to smile, we'll remind you that your HRV is low and you're stressed - a gentle reminder to get some fresh air and recharge.
- When you've had just a bit too much to drink, we'll remind you that your HRV is low and you're stressed (because alcohol is a stresssor) - a gentle reminder to let up a bit on the cup, drink some water, and take care of your body.
- You can constantly monitor your HRV levels (and stress levels) from your Apple Watch by adding StressWatch to your Watch Face.
- Paired with proper exercise and adequate rest, monitor and analyze your weekly and monthly stress levels over prolonged periods of time; you'll realize that you're getting better as time goes on.
#Design Concept
We created StressWatch with the sole intention to help people to reduce anxiety in this age of stress and pressure. However, data and numbers do not have any meaning if the user is unable to interpret the data. (Not everyone is a rocket scientist!) So it got us thinking: how can we design a app that delivers numbers and data in a friendly manner that will help users to reduce stress and anxiety. Thus, we created the "Mr.Fizz", which is the foundation of our product design. The "Mr.Fizz" will change colors as the user's stress levels rise.

I’ve been interested in HRV for years and have used at least 5, and maybe as many as 10 different apps to keep an eye on my rate. The problem I had with all of them was the same; they just don’t give you an even picture and so directly increase your anxiety. StressWatch smooths everything out and if your HRV drops it tells you but it’s not a big deal because you have a graph and can spot a trend etc. What I do know is that my HRV isn’t the best, but when I am able to exercise consistently I can see improvements and patterns of change in the readings. I love it.
Brilliant for PHYSICAL stress

After noticing the reviews seem to be mixed between ‘astoundingly good’ and ‘meh’. Id like to add my experience. This app works by looking at your HRV and heart rate. It’s not telepathic. So if you have a condition that affects your heart rate in response to physical stress -ME, Long Covid, POTS etc etc it spots overload brilliantly and informs you before you over do it and crash. If you have anxiety etc that affects your heart rate you will also most likely find this useful. However if that isn’t the case it can’t tell you your emotions. I’m physically disabled and I find it transformative to my daily living and for £20 a year it knocks the socks off Visible. I stand for a moment too long and it’s there telling me to take it easy…But if I’m lying down while in a rage at the kids for yet again leaving the top off the pop bottle it’s not going to twitch.
An absolute monster

Having being mentally abused by my partner for 8 years this app has helped me become more aware of my stress levels. It now makes me aware of situations that affect me. I wish this app was available then. She changed my life forever. I now no longer trust anyone. This app is helping me realise situations and my stress levels. Hats off to the developers. A truly intuitively app that can make the world a better place.
Loved it at first for managing my M.E., but now it stopped working

I have an Apple Watch and this app doesn’t update properly. I have to tap on it to get it to show me my latest reading, and often it will just stop taking readings indefinitely. I’ve tried everything they suggested to get it working but it just doesn’t. So disappointed because the data is very accurate and it was really helping to manage my fatigue (using HRV and HR data). I rarely if ever get alerts, they never seem to work even when I’m getting an “overload” reading.
