When I heard about this app I was genuinely so excited. As someone who desperately wants to travel but whose friends have no real desire, this app is perfect for finding people as passionate as I am! Whether you’re planning trips of your own, tagging along on other people’s, or meeting up with people already at your destination, this app really does seem to do it all!! I can’t wait for my first trip coordinated with people from TripBFF, it’s honestly allowed me to plan several trips that I couldn’t have done without it! ❤️

This app is actually a good idea. The interface is easy to use and there’s definately a market for it. Unfortunately, from my experience, the owners are more bothered about getting an App Store review than actually achieving their business goal of helping and encouraging travellers to meet. I understand the benefits of gathering good reviews but the consistent and constant in-app and push notifications have ruined the product enough for me to cancel my subscription after one month and turn off notifcations which to be honest, destorys the app entirely as now I don’t know if/when people are communicating with me.This all might seem petty but when you’re travelling on your own and receive a notification from this app, psycologically you feel hopeful — ‘someone wants to speakt to me’. 9 times out of 10 it’s just another push for the user to complete a request they’ve already said no to multiple times. In my opinion, you should be asking for reviews once the user completes a conversation or attends an event. In another context, Tinder wouldn’t ask you to review them if you hadn’t found a match. The experience here begins once the user uses the app as you intended for the them to use it, not when they open it or haven’t opened it in a number of days.Anyway, I don’t like writing negative reviews but you did ask about eight times for me to leave one. Here it is and I hope it helps.P.S. I must say and this is just an opinion, it does appear that there could be fake accounts on this to make it seem more popular and ‘busy’. There are a suspicious number of profiles with the exact same bio.

The concept and overall delivery of the app is not bad. Having just downloaded it these are my main thoughts:- The app has crashed twice in the 30 minutes I’ve been using it. It is also a bit rough as you scroll- The profile function is great. A bit like Bumble BFF. Gives you a good idea of the person behind a trip proposal and what their travel priorities are- It is clearly designed for travellers in their early 20s, even if it doesn’t say that. The ‘interest’ section is fairly limited. I would have selected options like ‘city break,’ ‘culture and history,’ ‘sightseeing,’ ‘bars and restaurants,’ and ‘day trips’ but the options are geared towards backpackers (eg, au pair, adventure, camping, cruise, nightlife).- It would be good to see external activities and events (like concerts or festivals) for people who are planning to attend and would like to connect with others already going.

As someone who’s been searching for travel partner/ friends to go travelling or on holidays with , I am so glad i found this app. It’s already got quite a few travellers from all over the world on there and it will continue to grow as time goes on too. However, there are some things I would suggest to make the app even better and safer to use! - The profile function is good, but i think people verifying themselves via their passport or some form of ID would feel even safer, as for people travelling solo and meeting strangers in different countries this could be more reassuring and a lot safer for everyone. - A female / male preference option , a bit like tinder so our profiles don’t appear for the other gender if preferred that way, because i seem to keep getting messages from males even when my bio states I’m looking for females travellers and some men seem to use this a dating site rather than searching for travel partners, all well and good just ignoring them but when my other social medias are linked to my profile , they seem to try following me on there too which leaves me no option but to block them unfortunately. - A push notifications option would be amazing because every individual notification spam my notification bar almost everyday and sometimes i consider deleting the app for the meantime , as there’s no option to turn these off or mute chats. - I would also suggest making the subscription maybe monthly , as again it could be too much commitment to pay for a year as most people wouldn’t travel for the entire year to make the most most of their subscription. -More travel options could be added , such as “city breaks” , “festivals” , “relaxing holidays” etcother than that i have found the app quite easy to use, i managed to book a couple of girls holidays through this app and have met a bunch of lovely people who are willing to travel and meet up. really enjoying using this app so far.
