A useful app to keep track of the situation. The API is slick and pulls in the information without glitches and the interface is clear. Some may say the in-app game is a gimmick but if it helps raise awareness of the threat then all good. Certainly has had my two young ones asking questions (what’s a Boris wave?) :)

If you have even a basic understanding of how this app works, you’d know that it collects its information from Home Office websites and published data. So, if you want to know how many people arrived today, you can simply check the Home Office’s own figures.If the Home Office hasn’t updated its data, the app has nothing new to report. Common sense.£72 million for what appears to be a third-rate app, while allowing misinformation about the costs and purpose to spread, is deeply disappointing. People deserve accurate information, transparency, and facts—not misleading claims that fuel hostility and division.

Downloaded this to keep an eye on the small boats. So far I’ve seen more boats in my bathtub. Most days it proudly reports 0, which is impressive considering the entire point of the app is apparently to show them.For £72 million I was expecting live tracking, satellite imagery and possibly the ability to zoom in and see what sandwiches everyone brought. Instead I’ve basically downloaded a very expensive digital version of staring at the English Channel and saying “anything yet?”One star because the app did successfully cross one border — from my Home Screen to the bin.

Like its creator, this App is just scaremongering bilge. The same information is available from the Home Office (but without the idiotic estimated cost per individual of £145k, if you read the blurb, or even more idiotic £341k if you do the maths - today it says weekly total 199 crossings costing £68m which is £341,708 each). It also fails pathetically to give a fair ‘timeline’, eschewing the frankly obvious graph presentation which would show a dramatic reduction in crossings since the last election, instead giving a ‘total per term’ of the last half dozen prime ministers. If I could give it zero stars I would.
