Edit: changed from 1 star.After speaking to customer service and them explaining , what was happening, regarding my account and situation. My problem was resolved within 24 hours. Once my account was finally opened withdrawing funds was easy. Yes it was a massive inconvenience for me, but ultimately kept my account and funds safe. Customer service was fantastic handling my problem. ID checks could be faster in my opinion. I still believe they are better exchanges available, with cheaper fees and more availability, but for the average person looking to build their portfolio, this makes buying bitcoin easy.Absolute joke trying to get your money out of this app. Upgraded my phone lost my old number. Nothing but problems from then. Even when you follow the advice and resubmit photos of your ID and yourself your still locked out your funds. Can’t send to a new wallet can’t send back to my bank account but trust they is no problem taking it from it. Far better exchanges out there

First let’s start with the positives - their earning tutorials are great, one of the best out there. I’ve personally earned between £80-£100 since starting coinbase some years ago which is great. However, I’ve probably paid close to £1500 in fees so I figure they owe me that anyway. The problem is, when you buy coins they overestimate the value so immediately your funds drop when you buy. Why do this? Then I upgraded to coinbase one, free buying and selling fees i thought great, well worth £20. However when you actually go to sell if you have £100 to sell it’ll become £94 or there abouts even though it’s right there in your GBP wallet. This is just not honest and not acceptable it’s just a big lie. They already charge to sell from btc to gbp so why charge again? You need to sort this out or I’ll just use another company stop lying about fees and just say you will be charged x amount be upfront with your customers we are building your company paying your wages and shareholder bonuses, we are not there to be legally ripped off through deceit. I’d happily pay whatever a fee was if it was shown in black and white before I started but you think you are being clever not being upfront and it’s not the case it just annoys people. Sort it out!

Pros: It's just about ok to get up and going on the app. Takes a few days. But you get there in the end. Once you are up & running, it's easy to buy and sell.Cons: Every transaction you make, comes with a £1.50 transaction fee. You buy = 1.50 / You sell = £1.50. That's expensive if you are just making small trades. Also; everything about the app try's to keep you within it. Meaning; I could never transfer money out of my Coinbase account to my bank account. It always said 'try back later' or 'lost connection'. In the end, I decided as I couldn't get my money out to where I wanted it (my bank account) to sell everything and spend it via the Coinbase card. That sort of worked- every now and then it would ask for me to confirm the transaction in the app. However, there was never any notification within the app to confirm. Weirdly; on one transaction it timed out but then the funds went through. I've enjoyed my time with the app overall It has definitely taught me everything I need to know about bitcoin. I did make about £50 after all charges from a £200 stake over 6 months. A healthy return but I'm glad & relieved to leave.

Hi I've bn using Coinbase for about two months now so far so good only downside I have experienced is when the price of the bitcoin drops a chance to buy some and sell at the high rate becomes difficult as it'll occur a error 503 which says too much transactions happening in Coinbase shutting you out of your account till it calms down by then you've lost out abit to make a investment and profit from it or sell abit. Number 2 as I've read a few reviews about the sepa transfer I hear there is a charge to do this ? I got charged £10 for the sepa transfer from my bank account took 3days got email confirmation and received my €10 that I tested to see if it went thru. All up and running and I have had withdrawals in euros into my account no problem. Best bet is to look for a global money app to get no fees and open a Euro account if that helps well the global money app should do it. On the whole if your bothered to do all this your set for life and see your bitcoin grow in value and become rich. I know it's a lil long process but well worth on the long run.
