Living in Barbados and bought this whilst passing through London earlier this year. Left it in my jeep and forgot about it. On Saturday just gone we buried a friend and went to a place for the wake with tables outside under a marquee. Lots of people and somber. My friend said could do with some music to lift the vibe. Remembering this Jbl i had I got it and played some of music our friend listened too. Three hours later the tunes were thumping and and a celebration of life was in full swing. Sound was amazing even at 90% volume. Connected to my phone via Bluetooth effortlessly and worked perfectly. Only problem is friends want to borrow it. No chance.
Faulty App, it needs to be overhauled, everything doesn't work.
B.A Ace
Use it for one JBL speaker the, Go 4. I'm convinced this gives incorrect readings of the battery all the time. I don't think it updates or adjusts its default calculations for battery consumption when the user changes the EQ. I use a custom bass heavy EQ with higher ends pretty much level. It would be nice if this app gave notifications of low battery too, you'd think it's a no brainier. It would also be nice, if they updated their speaker to make its own low battery sound. It actually ridiculous how the Go 4 has a tiny light indicator ON THE SIDE to notify you of low battery WITHOUT a low battery sound for flip's sakes. Also the JBL Go 4, not just mine, shuts off RANDOMLY. This happened from 6months after I got it. I thought it was my specific speaker after a year I sent it to them to fix, they sent me back brand new JBL speaker. That issue of the old speaker also happens to this one too from the box. You'd think it's a battery degradation issue but since I got the new one and it still happens I'm convinced it's a software issue. The useless app I can't even rely on because I'm convinced its battery readings are absolutely a guess and gimmick. Only thing that works about this app is the EQ that's it.Now I came here to do a review of how this useless app can't even scan my speaker anymore when my phone is clearly connected to it playing music. I've tried all methods from yesterday and this useless app won't sense the speaker so I can't even see and change the EQ.
Beware rubbish copies
Joelbubble
I had heard good things about the JBL flip series and so foolishly I thought I would pick one up on eBay second hand. Little did I know that there were many poor quality copies out there. I bought one and this app actually helped me work out that it was a rubbish copy and the sound quality was poor. This app would not recognise that device and so I got my money back. The real flip 6 I bought was the genuine article and the souls quality was perfect. This app allows me to control the quality and sound perfectly. Great app, great device, great sound and well worth the download. 👍👍👍
Awful app
Brockbankkkkkkkkkkkkk
This is a truly awful app. Connecting 2 speakers in stereo is sheer luck, sometimes it will sometimes it won’t. Once in stereo there is a delay such that if watching a movie it’s so out of sync as to make it an awful experience. A simple graphic equaliser is available when one speaker is employed but not 2, the awfulness continues. The interface of the app is childlike in its simplicity yet somehow still manages to be truly awful. It is awful from start to finish with no redeeming qualities whatsoever
