Edit: After much gnashing of teeth playing around with the electricity supply / provider settings, the app is now finally working for me, and the BST / GMT problems appear to have gone away. I have no idea why this is, which is disconcerting. Possibly bad settings in your energy supplier database?I feel however that I cannot give more than 3 stars, as the onboarding process moving from Kaluza to this app has been nothing short of awful, especially when you consider that these chargers are basically critical infrastructure for people who rely on their cars for day to day stuff. Please, no more half baked releases, potentially the bugs with this app could be quite damaging financially for your customers, given that it was trying to charge our car at peak times!Edit: As of the early June 2023 update, it looks like most of the bugs are fixed … except for the BST / GMT one, which, considering most people will be on EV dual rate tariffs, is probably the most important. Come on guys, British Summer Time has been around for 107 years, don’t tell me you forgot to add this basic feature to your app? Original review: Switched from the Kaluza / ChargedEV web app, and initially I preferred this, it links directly to the charger itself instead of using a third party, and the look and feel of it is much more modern. However, after a few days I’ve started to notice the bugs. The biggest issue at the moment seems to have happened after British Summer Time kicked in, the app seems to be permanently set on GMT / UTC, meaning that it messes up overnight cheap rate scheduling as it’s permanently out by an hour. This wasn’t a problem with the Kaluza app, it made the switch between GMT and BST twice with no problems, so this clearly isn’t a problem with the charger itself. Anyway, I’ve disabled the scheduling on the app completely and am depending on the built in scheduler inside our car, which is much better anyway. So yeah, initial impressions great, but after some in depth use, not so great. User acceptance testing anyone?

I’ve had my charger and app for two weeks and so far so good. -The app displays accurate information regarding when it’s a) on line b) in idle mode waiting for best time to charge c)charging - My car has always been charged by the time I need to use it - The app recognised my energy provider tariff and as a result I’ve always been on the preferential EV rate when charging the car. The only problem I have is that you can’t use the app to lock the charger to prevent unauthorised use. I’ve contacted Indra regarding this and there response was swift but seem inaccurate. An Indra employee called Chris replied and advised the following; Hello. If you go to the settings in the app and scroll down to the bottom of the page you will see an option to lock the charger. Kind regard , Chris The problem is there isn’t a settings section in the app. There is a Dashboard, History, Schedule and More. I’ve gone into each of these and searched for settings but can’t find settings. Therefore I believe the information regarding ‘ locking’ is incorrect and you can’t lock the charger. As a result I have to isolate the charger at the isolater in the house. This is fine but means the charger then isn’t linked to the app. I’ve asked Indra for further assistance but have had no response.

Always telling me my charger is offline. Ignores the schedule and charges anyway. Pause and stop buttons don’t work. Tried logging out and back in, then it tried to set me up as a new user again. Gives error messages when trying to set up tariffs. Indra told me to go back to the web app, on this you can start a charge but unless you want to charge to 100% you have to physically disconnect the car as the web app has no stop feature or ability to part charge. Very little actually works, would have been better off with a three pin plug socket fitted outside my house. Other than the above I can heartily recommend. Well it was nothing to do with my connection to the internet as the reply below stated, the engineer visit was a complete waste of everyone’s time . The app now ‘works’ - it would appear my charger had been de- registered from the Indra database. However last night the scheduled charge didn’t happen and when I got home it stated it was doing a scheduled charge at 4pm in the afternoon. The next actual schedule charge was 1.30 am. So work still to be done5th April - Has packed up again. Offline again and no control over it via the app. Total farce. Have asked for it to be removed. Absolutely AWFULL product.

Continual problems. Charger offline. Incorrect reporting. Tariffs not displaying correctly. The system not knowing what BST is. Unit itself died (yes they did replace, but what a hassle). And now, none of their customers can login to the app. Been over 24 hours so far. I called the support number, who answered saying, “Hello, Indra support”. And then proceeded to tell me nobody could look at the issue until after the bank holiday weekend. So that’s a minimum of three days where no one can login to their Indra app to view data or change charging schedules etc. You’d expect better. I do anyway. I wish I’d never touched this company. Get a Pod Point, Zappi, or really anything other than this. I should add, I was completely on board with the move from Kaluza’s platform to Indra’s own. I was an active member of the beta program and spent much time giving feedback. That good will has now been used up, they continually roll out software which is not up to the job. I see Indra often reply to reviews here apologising for the bad experience. Please don’t feel the need to reply to mine if you read this. Instead just fix the platform!! Disappointing.
