No longer free and expensive
I had been using this app for many years from when it was originally a free app. Over time it has increased in price dramatically which is claimed to support new features which I don’t need with no option to have a basic product. I was told at renewal after my subscription ended last year I could still use it for fee with out the backup facility which was good enough for me. One year on it has expired and I can’t access now without paying a subscription. After paying a fair amount of money over the years loyalty counts for nothing it would seem.
Locked out
I have used this app for a few years but had been feeling that the functionality wasn’t keeping pace with market developments as password managers have gradually been introduced to relevant other products like Norton. I think it was a year ago that Keeper introduced a new layer of security - a complex phrase generated by them from which selected letters would be required in the event of a lock out. I remember thinking at the time that this was a disaster waiting to happen and this week it happened. FaceID broke on my phone which triggers Keeper to require the master password. I can’t remember it and I’ve moved since introduction of the unmemorable phrase and can’t find the paper record. So I’m properly locked out.
I thank Keeper for providing this service until now and I appreciate their careful security. But it has become so secure that the owner can’t get in and has let me down. I have cancelled my subscription.
Really, really frustrating poorly designed app
OMG, where do I start? …. This has to be one of the worst password apps out there. Think throwing a dart at a dartboard as to whether it’ll work or not !! Are you a professional dart player? No me neither …. Save your money if you’re an iPhone user and use the built in Apple password manager, IT WORKS 99% of the time. Wish I’d never subscribed for a minimum of a year!
I’ve tried this app to auto complete stored passwords, auto generate passwords, then store, then auto complete…… it’ll be quicker doing it manually, and write down password on a piece of paper from my 7 months experience. Don’t get me wrong, it works sometimes…. Just sometimes sadly…. It’s a convoluted mess in the whole, believe me I’ve given it a MASSIVE amount of time. In today’s world we want ‘it just works’ …. For this app, I vote with my wallet, and ‘ I’m out’ to quote Dragons Den. Hope my experience helps others decide whether to click sub or not. ✌️
